Nerf N-Strike Elite Firestrike Blaster

I'm quite a fan of NERF, but I do prefer the "single shot" NERF guns such as this one, as the ones with "magazines" have a tendency to jam up, which is annoying when you are in the middle of a battle! This NERF gun is simple to use, easy to load and fire, and also has storage under the barrel for 2x extra NERF darts (you have to take these out and put them in the barrel to be able to shoot them though). It's a comfortable size for children and adults to hold. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the orange colour (I think these used to come in blue instead, which I personally prefered, but I guess this is more of a unisex colour), but I can overlook that as it's very nice in every other respect. I haven't tried the "targeting system" (it's basically a glorified torch, but is meant to be something like a red dot lazer pointer, as far as kids are concerned) as I find it a bit gimmicky as NERF guns are not THAT accurate anyway, especially when played outdoors. I particularly like this NERF gun as it is capable of firing the older-style "whistler" darts and not just the newer ones. I prefered the older whistler darts as they have the fun factor due to the noise they make, and they are also suitable for down to ages 6+ whereas the newer darts are only recommended for ages 8+. As such, to me having a gun which can fire the older darts is a definite bonus. Overal I am happy with my purchase, and would definitely buy it again.

'Elite' means it is a bit more powerful which makes it even more fun because using the sights you can consistently hit a cushion at 25ft! The batteries are only needed for the targetting beam, which has a separate trigger. DARTS ~ It shoots most types of Nerf darts including ELITE Darts (3 supplied), as well as DART TAG Darts (white velcro on blue tips), WHISTLER Darts (orange with black tips), and MICRO Darts (with black or blue sucker tips). With more power compared to earlier models the tag or sucker darts tend to stick better when fired with the Firestrike. The dart post is too long for 'Streamline' darts (for earlier clip blasters) which aren't hollow towards the tips. AGE ~ 8+ is printed on the box, compared e.g. to 6+ for the 'Jolt', although there is little difference in the strength required to be able to prime these blasters. If used sensibly I reckon the light and soft projectiles still render the Elite Firestrike pretty safe. It's well made, makes a satisfactory 'pock' sound, and the targetting beam is good fun too. Excellent value.

This is an overall great blaster, it's small and easy to use, but the range is still high. However, when I received it, the batterycase could not be closed my the normal screw anymore and I had to use longer screw to close it again, so if I didn't have that I couldn't use the light.

First off I have small hands, and this still feels a bit small even in them. Slightly smaller than a PPK/G26 subcompact. However the rest is more like a larger pistol. Still feels rather substantial to hold though. Should be good for kids as young as 6 although the laser and trigger might be a little stiff. the pull back to 'prime' the gun is great. Holds 2 more darts near the muzzle so reloading is quick. Rather good accuracy, will hit in the little laser light upto around 5m away 90% of the time. Nice little starter Nerf gun or side-arm. Would have been better with a clip system IMO... but I guess this way the cost is kept to the low end. Will hit targets further out but as the darts get damaged they loose accuracy. Easily shoots about 15-20m when aimed up a bit.

This is an excellent product, although it is worth noting that the pull-back mechanism delivers a much more powerful punch than a standard pump mechanism and these darts HURT if they hit skin - especially at close range. We bought this to keep at hand to deter our destructive cat from chewing cables and all we have to do is pick it up to send him running (NOTE: We do NOT shoot him directly, but the action of shooting a dart over his head or to one side is enough to prompt him to run - I would NOT recommend shooting ANYONE or ANYTHING directly with this nerf gun as the darts hit with a lot of force and can be painful).

Great product! But stops working well after a few months!

Bought one of these Nerf guns in a local shop as a birthday present for a friend's son, without expecting it to be that good - but once the kids had gone to bed, it turned out to give some of the best fun I've had in ages. The gun itself has a simple pull back mechanism which clicks when the spring is in position, and then the foam projectile is released when you pull the trigger. There's no safety catch, but that's fine as the trigger needs a good tug to fire. The range is pretty impressive, launching the projectile a good 25 metres - we ended up taking pot shots at a motley line up of superhero toys and dolls to try and knock them off the mantelpiece. It comes with three orange tipped, foam Nerf bullets, but I recommend you get some more as you don't want to run out of ammo in the middle of a foam fight!

I love nerf! It gun is so much fun, i once spent a whole day having a nerf war with the whole family, (parents,sisters,cousins,and uncles) the gun is quite powerful and hurts if your hit in the face at close range so i would recommend saftey goggles. at firt i though the lazer didn't work, but then i realised there was a smaller trigger for the lazer just below the proper one and i have no other problems, highly recommended

l'ho pagata davvero pochissimo, buona qualità, ha un a luce laser che indica dove andrà a colpire il colpo in spugna. simpatica arma giocattolo con tre colpi, ogni colpo va alimentato a mano, non va in automatico. purtroppo che dopo un po' di utilizzo uno dei colpi non "spara" più no so da cosa dipenda.consigliata per bambini dai 7 anni in su per evitare che si colpiscano al volto/occhi

Pädagogische Grundsatzdiskussionen zum Thema Nerf kann man lange und breit führen. In der Geschichte der Menschheit gab es wohl keine Generation, in der sich die Älteren nicht über das martialische Gehabe der Jüngeren aufgeregt haben. Man kann dem natürlich auf zweierlei Wegen begegnen: A) Man tabuisiert und stigmatisiert B) Man regt eine konkrete Auseinandersetzung mit der Materie an. Manch einer wäre überrascht wie vernünftig da so manches Kind bereits reagiert, wenn es sich der Verantwortung bewußt wird, die eine Schußwaffe mit sich bringt. Im Rahmen der Jugendarbeit in Workshops und Ferien, haben wir bei Uns die Nerfs entdeckt. Während früher die Kinder und Jugendlichen ihre Erbsenpistolen und Softairs versteckt mitgebracht und eingesetzt haben, ist durch die Verfügbarkeit einer breiten Palette an Nerfs inzwischen so ziemlich jeder Geschmack bedienbar. Die Projektile sind weitgehend harmlos und in Kombination mit einer einfachen Schutzbrille für den Schießsport (Ab 3 Euro zu bekommen) können die Kids von der Zielübung alá Dosenschießen und Lochscheiben bis hin zu Paintballähnlichen Fahnenklauszenarien ihre "Schießwut" ausleben. Dies kanalisiert und katalysiert Einiges an Gewaltpotential und hat zu einer allgemein harmonischeren Gruppe geführt. Das Werkzeug ist hierbei ebenso wichtig wie der Umgang damit, und so beschäftigen wir uns vor der Ausgabe an die Kinder auch intensiv mit dem jeweiligen Modellen. Zuverlässigkeit, Verarbeitung und Präzision sind hierbei ausschlaggebende Punkte. Man mag garnicht glauben wie energisch die kleinen Racker werden können, wenn sie der Meinung sind, sie hätten die "Schlechtere" erwischt. Die Firestrike ist die große Schwester der "Zirpenden Grille" mit dem Namen Jolt-EX1. Als solche bringt sie einen größeren Zylinder, und Halterungen für zwei zusätzliche Darts mit, die durch einen "Laserpointer" abgerundet werden. Sie ist ein einzelladender Handspanner, was bedeutet, daß jeder Dart einzeln eingeführt und der Zylinder für jeden Schuß gespannt werden muss. Hieraus ergibt sich eine extrem hohe Zuverlässigkeit, da ein Minimum an beweglichen Teilen verbaut ist. Dieser sind sauber verarbeitet und auch ergonomisch sinnvoll geformt, so daß der Blaster sowohl mit Mittelfingerabzugtechnik als auch normal über den Zeigefinger betätigt werden kann. Das Schußbild ist sehr gerade und präzise, wobei der Leuchtpunkt tatsächlich auch grob den Einschlagpunkt beschreibt. Das macht es gerade beim Scheiben-/Dosenschießen für Anfänger leichter, ein Gefühl für das Zielen zu bekommen. Es ist eine Standard 2,5kg Feder verbaut, die sich auch von kleineren Jungs und Mädchen spannen lässt und so Frustmomente, wie bei einer Retaliator nahezu ausschließt. Für Tag-Spiele oder Fahnenklau ist sie eher weniger geeignet, da hier Präzision weniger gefragt ist, als eine hohe Kadenz. Alles in Allem ist die Firestrike ein guter Blaster, mit dem man einen günstigen Einstieg in das Hobby Nerf hat, und mit dem man sauber argumentieren kannn, weshalb eine Softair nicht ins Haus kommt.

Excellent gun. Well within the ease of use of a five-year-old and above. Worth buying at this price around Rs. 700. Definitely more sensible to buy this branded gun than any toy guns in the market, as this is sturdy and long-lasting. Plus refill bullets can also be bought on amazon.in

Es de las pistolas nerf más baratas y es sin duda la mejor. Lanza muy lejos y si le pones unas gomas elásticas al percutor ya vamos... es impresionante la fuerza que tiene. Una pasada para jugar en la oficina XDD
