Just got this lower back hurts got it on first setting is it suppose to hurt this much at first?

Just got mine today and remembered your question so I came back to say. It hurt really bad at first but I was using my phone with my hands out in front of me and something in my head told me that I was probably causing my own pain. I put my hands up above me and let them lay on the floor and the pain stopped and it started to feel so much better right away. Hope its not too late for this to help you or anyone else giving this product a try. Just play some music and let it work its magic for the 15 minutes, don't use any devices.

Is this product really effective?

Yes. It stretches really good, after using it for a while, it corrected my back posture.

How often is this meant to be used for stretching your back? I'm assuming daily is fine but can it be used multiple times a day? Or any time it hurts?

I used it once in the morning and once before bed and it felt quite refreshing. So yes you can use it multiple times a day. As long as you don’t forcefully try to do a level your body isn’t accustomed to you’ll be fine. Beginner, intermediate and then advance. I can currently use the intermediate comfortably. One time I tried the max bend and my back felt weird after.
