I want to use this for both xbox 360 and ps4 pro, I have official controllers for both consoles but they are both wireless, do you need a wired one?

The problem with the 360 controllers is they take standard AA batteries and don't have a micro USB connection on them, that's why you would need a wired controller there, even the plug and charge kits wont work as that just provides power over the connection not data. PlayStation and Xbox one controllers will work just fine though as they all provide power and data over the micro USB cable.
