I use it a little differently by putting it on coffee grounds and spreading them in the backyard. It may sound odd, but we’ve noticed fewer mosquitoes when we do this, and the smell lingers outside for days. The oil itself is strong and consistent, and the dropper makes it easy to use without overdoing it. If you’re looking for a good citronella oil for outdoor use or general purposes, this is definitely worth picking up.

I got this to put around my indoor plants to repel gnats. I used in diffuser as well. I placed few drops around base of my planters, and it did decrease the gnats around my plants. I was very pleased that it worked for my plants. I like the citronella smell also. I got the large bottle because I know I overdo how much I put in diffuser. Great scent.

I make my all natural insect repellent spray for my family and I’m trying this now as I have always been a YL enthusiast. I’m trying this now as it’s friendlier to my wallet.

I’ve been using it diluted in a spray bottle around my patio and doorways, and there’s a noticeable difference. Normally I’d get swarmed within minutes, but with this, the mosquitoes stay away and even other small bugs seem less active. It doesn’t completely eliminate every single bug, but it definitely cuts them down a lot, which makes being outside way more comfortable. What I like most is that it’s a natural option compared to sprays loaded with harsh chemicals. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts longer than you’d expect. Will definitely buy again and again!

Best oil for making candles that will keep gnats and flys away!

Flies must be born with the ability to know how to hang around house doors. Nothing more aggravating than a fly in the house. Of course, it is probably part our fault for letting two small dogs in and out of the house multiple times a day. I found some instructions on how to use this in a spray bottle. One cup of water or rubbing alcohol. I never learned how to follow instructions all that well, so I used a half cup of water and a half cup of alcohol. Add two teaspoons of this essential oil to a hand sprayer and shake it up a little. I sprayed around the exterior doors, and time will tell if it really works to ward off flies and mosquitos. Word of caution. This stuff is pretty strong. I may have sprayed too much. The whole house smells like Citronella. It is a pleasant odor. But I may be a little more frugal with the next application. I will add more info when I find out if it works.

This is the best oil very high quality. Used in a water mist to repellent insects and very effective as a sink freshener, with no chemicals.
