Casio G-Shock Men's Watch GD-400MB-1ER

A fantastic timepiece from Casio. I was bit concerned as the watch is marked as 50mm diameter which is a lot larger than I normally wear. My wrists aren't particularly big and a 43mm sits quite nicely. To my surprise this watch doesnt look to big at all. It actually looks just right. Other than that it has all the standard features you'd expect. The auto light is a brilliant feature. Note. You have to activate this feature manually. It also deactivates after a number of hours to save power. The display can be hard to read at times as it is inverted LCD but I find difficulty with this as others have mentioned. Highly recommended.

I deliberated over this and a couple of other G-Shock watches because of the comments regarding the ability to read the negative display. I love the look of it, chunky and rugged, ideal as an every day watch. As for the negative display I can't deny that in some lighting conditions it is more difficult to read than the conventional style display but not too difficult that I can't live with it. The dual LED lights more than make up for it in complete darkness because they can be set to automatically illuminate when you turn your wrist towards you. If you're looking for a big watch this won't disappoint that said it looks just right on my 7 3/4" wrist.

Love the look, feel & build quality on this watch. One and only dislike is the display, it’s really difficult to see unless you’re in a well lit area. Have to keep putting on the light to see the time and I know that’s going to run the battery out very quickly. Solar power would have been a better option!!! Or just make the display brighter!!!

Really nice watch, yes it's a bit dark but as someone described to me it's exactly what Master chief would wear.

I'm.really pleased with this watch, i wanted a tough watch with extra protection and came packed and well looked after, easy to set up and has the added benefit of the lt function which allows you to set the light to come on when you tilt your wrist, extra guard protection as I've smashed many watches in my work and this seems to fit the bill for a very reasonable price too .it's light and comfortable and it's size hasn't given me any problem and I Think it looks good too with green on black display ,would recommend one and theyres a few different colours in this range too .I'm tempted to get another .

I love this watch. I was a bit worried before buying, for a couple of reasons. Firstly the reviews that mention the display is difficult to read. Secondly, that the Amazon product description seemed to suggest this design was aimed at ‘young skateboarders’ - I am neither young, nor a skateboarder (and have no intention of trying!) So, I have had no difficulty reading the display, and have used it inside, outside, dark and bright sun, I found no problem at all with the display. Secondly, the description on other sites, including Casio’s own G Shock page indicates this is more military in feel and look - and I agree. As with all G Shock models, it is robust and feels nice and substantial on the wrist- but without feeling overly bulky. I have a few G Shock watches - And I’m so pleased I got this one to add to the collection. I have purchased to use in the garden and when I am DIY’ing, but wouldn’t hesitate to wear on a daily basis for any scenario. It’s great.

To be honest I'm a Automatic / Manual watch enthusiast but I've always liked the look of G-Shocks. So my one and only digital purchase was this GD-400MB-ER Build quality is great and it's very comfortable to wear. Love the "bull bars" which sets it off from other digitals and is certainly a talking point amongst colleagues. The only gripe I have, unless someone can correct me, is the date is set out in the "American" layout with month coming before the date.

Its probably a great watch, pity they left it out of the box. But that box is lovely

Diseño bonito, resistente como todos los G-Shock y precio imbatible. El envío en un día. Lo único malo, pero ya los conocía, son las pantallas oscuras, tardas un poco en acostumbrarte la primera vez. Aunque yo ya las conocía por otros modelos.

Très bonne montre ! J'étais à la recherche d'une montre robuste et étanche. Achetée en 2017, ca fait maintenant plus de 3 ans que je la porte quasiment tous les jours. Et Dieu sait que par mon travail, je l'ai malmené ! Sable, eau, poussière, humidité, chaleur, froid, boue, chocs, elle resiste à tout ! Il m'arrive de la laver au karsher quand elle est vraiment trop sale, en bloquant le bracelet sous mon pied, et elle fonctionne toujours! Bref, rien à redire ! Ma dernière G-shock a tenu 9 ans dans les mêmes conditions, celle-ci est bien partie pour faire de même. Je recommande ce modèle à tous ceux qui cherchent de la robustesse !

IL gd-400 ha uno dei design più accattivanti in casa g-shock! Solido e resistente, colpisce e cattura con le sue linee squadrate,il bullbar a protezione del display negativo, uno dei più visibili tra tutti i display negativi della casio, secondo soltanto al gd-350 che è il migliore in assoluto per visibilità in tutte le condizioni di luce, se volete un display negativo su un g shock scegliete uno di questi due, tutti gli altri hanno numeri troppo piccoli e fondali che non riflettono abbastanza luce risultando difficili da leggere se non in condizioni ottimali di luminosità ambientale. Il cinturino può essere facilmente sostituito con un nato a due pezzi, senza ricorrere ad adattatori di terze parti, grazie al metodo di fissaggio tramite vite a cannocchiale e non con la classica springbar.Al polso è comodissimo, anche più comodo dei modelli con "ali" e il cinturino ha una stupenda superficie texturizzata molto piacevole al tatto. Molto più comodo da chiudere delle classiche fibbiette a due perni. Il modulo non ha funzioni particolari, ma le classiche disponibili su tanti altri g-shock basici: world time, allarmi(5 senza lo snz),timer,stopwatch. Dalla schermata principale si possono richiamare, tramite il tasto forward, altre tre zone per uno switch veloce dell'orario.L'illuminazione del display è a carico di due led luminosissimi che personalmente preferisco alla EL "elettro luminescenza" (che spesso viene sopravvalutata in quanto con il tempo perde molta della sua capacità di illuminazione). Se devo trovargli dei difetti direi che avrei aggiunto una parte di display a matrice a punti per il giorno, sarebbe stato più facile decifrare le lettere con poca luce e sicuramente più interessante poter leggere le informazioni come su un gd-350 e l'avrei dotato di tecnologia tough solar per permettergli di ricaricarsi da fonti di luce! Tutto sommato è un ottimo orologio per la vita quotidiana e lo sport. Ve lo consiglio!

Sehr schöne Uhr, ich finde vor allem die Black Ops. Optik cool und dass die Uhr alles in allem durch den schwarzen Hintergrund sehr dunkel wirkt. Die Ablesbarkeit ist gut, andere Bewertungen, die das bemängeln, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Die blaue Hintergrundbeleuchtung passt super zur Gesamtoptik. Nun das wichtigste: die Uhr hat die gewohnt sehr hohe Casio Qualität. Ich bin rundum zufrieden und gebe eine klare Kaufempfehlung. PS: 2 Jahre sind vergangen, ich trage die Uhr täglich bei der Arbeit wo ich viel Kontakt mit Ölen habe, täglich beim Sport wodurch die Uhr viel Schweiß abbekommt und auch im Urlaub am Meer war sie mein Dauerbegleiter. Leichte Abnutzungsspuren finden sich am Druckschalter für das Licht, ansonsten sieht sie nach wie vor absolut top aus. Das einzige, das ich mache ist, dass ich die Uhr alle paar Tage mit lauwarmen Wasser wasche und - das ist wohl mein Tick bei Gebrauchsgegenständen - desinfiziere. Die Stoppuhr und der Timer sind z.B. super zum Kochen und auch nach zwei Jahren: sie sieht einfach nur super aus! Ich kann mich noch immer nicht beschweren.
