Gorilla Tape Black 32m

I use this tape for EVERYTHING and I mean everything. If you need something stuck down permanently, this is your best friend. The adhesive is insanely strong, it grips like crazy and once it’s on, it’s ON. I’ve used this for all kinds of things, even stuff you wouldn’t think of. Need to stick an extension lead under a desk? Done. Need a sleek black sign? I literally wrapped cardboard in this tape to create a smooth matte black look. I even use it to stick up posters (WARNING—it WILL rip your paint off so be careful with that one). It’s so versatile and durable and this particular roll is HUGE. When I first got a smaller roll I ran out quicker than expected so I upgraded to this and it’s definitely worth the price. Why did you choose this product over others?: As a self-proclaimed DIY enthusiast and general fixer-upper, I've used my fair share of tapes, and let me tell you, Gorilla Tape Black 32m is in a league of its own. This isn't just "duct tape" – it's a heavy-duty, problem-solving, can't-live-without-it essential. From the moment you unroll it, you can feel the quality. The double-thick adhesive is no joke; it grips like nothing else, even on those awkward, uneven, or slightly rough surfaces where other tapes just give up. I've used it for everything from patching up a leaky shed roof to securing cables, reinforcing tools, and even making temporary repairs on outdoor gear. It handles it all with incredible tenacity. What truly sets it apart for me is its all-weather resilience. Living in the UK, we know all too well that the elements can be brutal. This tape shrugs off rain, wind, and even prolonged dampness without losing its incredible stick. I'm going to give this product five stars because it absolutely does what it says it does, and it does it very well. It's extremely strong, extremely long, extremely sticky tape. Having said that, I have had a lot of negative experiences with this tape. This is largely through my own fault so I won't lower the rating, but be aware that this tape is incredibly sticky and strong. I mean, the most sticky and strong tape you could possibly imagine. No, stronger and sticker than that. If it sticks to itself, it's not coming apart ever. If it sticks to your hair, your hair is absolutely leaving your body. If it sticks to a pet, you're about to be very unpopular. Be very careful where you apply this tape. Think before putting it anywhere you don't want tape to be because once it's there, it'll stay there and won't be leaving on its own. Although... don't try and use this tape with wet hands. If the glue gets the tiniest bit wet before use, it's not sticky at all. I mean, not even a little bit. It's quite bizarre but given its amazing water resistance once stuck, it's surprising how un-waterproof it is before application. So, water before use = useless tape. Water after use = no hope of removing it.

I bought this to seal off my car sun roof. I won't bore you with the reasons why but I needed something to stop the rain getting in. Gave the area round the sun roof a good clean and finished off with isopropyl alcohol to ensure it was a clean surface. The Gorilla tape is so easy to unravel so measured the size I wanted for each side and applied to the roof. It adheres to the surface straight away and any bubbles could be worked out easily enough. For me it was importnt that it didn't stand out and thanks to it being clear it's hardly visible. It's been on the car now for around 6 months and only just starting to bubble slightly so I'll reapply as you get quite a decent amount on the roll (8.2 M). It's had months of heavy rain, snow, frosts and a mini heat wave...pretty robust I would say and great value. It stopped the water which was the job I needed as it was leaking into my car.

The black color is a stylish touch as well, disappearing into my projects seamlessly rather than standing out like traditional duct tape. Plus, the tape itself is easy to tear and cut, making it user-friendly for quick fixes. Overall, Gorilla Tape has become my go-to adhesive for all kinds of repairs. Genuinely the best tape I've used for repairs. I tripped over a year ago holding a fork and the handle put a hole in my office chair. I applied this tape and it has stuck perfectly with no lifting ever since. My worry was the adhesive would come out the edges and make the chair sticky but that hasn't happened.
