how do i fit the varta 4230 to my watchman oil sensor - the one actually in the tank?

Unscrew by hand the black sensor on the top of the tank, take it back to the plug in reader inside the house, turn off plug in reader. On the sensor undo 4 screws and gentle pull apart you will see the batteries, remember the way the old batteries go in (which way up). Replace and put together. Hold sensor and the reader together and turn on, you will see a black dot on the sensor touch that against the plug-in-reader until you get a connection. screw it back on the top of your oil tank. PS if it's raining cover the hole up on the top of your oil tank whilst your refitting the batteries. Hope that helps.

Sorry, I just installed mine, I didn't check to see if there was one. That was about a year ago in a Roberts clock radio about 2003 vintage that came from a charity shop. It keeps the digital clock going when not plugged in. Still working
