will this fit a gas meter nut in the uk?

The jaws on my Bahco 6" adjustable spanner open up to 40mm, (tested). The nuts on my gas meter, UK, require a 42mm spanner, (tested), so the answer is no.

Is this for metric nuts only??

As it’s an adjustable wrench it will do AF, Whitworth of Metric. This is why it’s adjustable.

Anyone tried it to remove a motorcycle axle nut? 30mm front 36mm rear. tightened between 80 - 100 Nm. Thx

Decent socket and a breaker bar would be best approach.
