This thing is a must for anyone with a dashcam that isn't hard wired in! Just plugs into your obd port has a massively long wire so can be tucked away anywhere and just works. 5 minutes after the car had been turned off this auto turns off, turns straight on with the ignition and you can easily disconnect of you change cameras or whatnot. Cheap but does the job really well!

Good little device! I've used two now and both working well - provides an quick and easy way to power up a dash-cam, with no need get involved with complicated wiring issues.

So far so good. Only negative is it could have had the option for an angled micro cable. Seems to work well so far but just had for a day!

Never got to use it as it didn't fit my dash cam and returned it -but if it had I'm sure it would have been fine.

Perfect, miles of cable so you can safely hide the wires away.

Well made but it does not work on my car.I have tried it on two of my dash cams first one no start up screen no recording second one a distorted black and white screen.It may work on other cars but not on mine.

Fitted this to power my Tom Tom sat nav on my Mercedes A180. Works a treat and with switch in correct position it switches off 5min after switching off engine. Had no issues with flat battery on Tom Tom since fitting this power cable.

Questo cavo ha risolto tutti i miei problemi. Come da descrizione si adatta perfettamente alla presa OBD2. Possiedo una Toyota Auris Hybrid del 2015 e devo dire che funziona alla perfezione. Con molto piacere inoltre ho scoperto, testandolo, che alimenta la Dashcam solo quando si mette il sistema ibrido in READY, quindi la dashcam non si accenderà inutilmente all’accensione ad esempio del solo quadro strumenti o quando si apre semplicemente la portiera, cosa che succedeva invece con la mia precedente bmw con la dashcam collegata all’accensigari, che registrava molte volte inutilmente a macchina ferma o in garage quando la lavavo all’interno. Se si seleziona l’interruttore In posizione “1” invece registra sempre anche ad auto spenta. Può essere utile in casi di panico o in riprese da fermo ad auto appunto spenta. Mi sento di consigliarlo vivamente a tutti. Anche perché il prezzo è irrisorio per l’ottimo servizio che svolge. Fantastico.

For many years, every time I got into or out of my 2009 Chevy Suburban, I had to plug the dash cam power supply into the cigarette lighter or remove it. This is because my cigarette lighter is supplied with electricity even when the engine is off, and the dash cam doesn't turn off when I turn the engine off. This is not optimal, especially if you forget to unplug it and run down the car battery. The REARMASTER Universal OBD Power Cable solves this problem. Whoever invented this should receive the Nobel Prize for Automotive Excellence. After easy installation (just plug it in and route the cord), the dash cam now starts and turns off in concert with the engine. I hear angels singing every time I see that dash cam turn on and off. The only thing I don't care for is that the REARMASTER Universal OBD Power Cable continues to supply power to the dash cam (or other device) for 5 minutes after turning the vehicle off. This unnecessarily drains the battery just a little, and being OCD I prefer to see that the dash cam has turned off before I exit the vehicle. Other than that, it is A+ in every respect. Highly recommended, and Powernoodle Approved.
