It’s a Park Tool, a little pricey but quality tooling.

I'd bought a cheap version, though it had the 20 teeth I couldn't make it fit. Took a chance on this better quality tool, and it worked well, inserts nice and tightly, great quality.

Bought this to remove a non-cartridge style BB on my son's bike on which the bearings had gone. First thing to say is that the BB was in well - I believe water had got in and this was going to require the loss of some knuckles to remove! I bought the Park tool because I believe they are the best in the business and if there is a tool which I cannot afford to have lose traction or threads to go on it then it is the BB removal tool. Note I required the purchase of a 32mm spanner - it's not your everyday spanner plus a 60mm bolt to screw into the crank. That along with a couple of washers and then me using all of my 10.5 stone was enough to shift the stubborn non-drive side BB cup. The tool performed magnificently. My only wish is that I had more bikes in need of BB overhaul so I can marvel at the robustness of the tool over and over!

Superb. A Well manufactured item. Maybe little over priced but as a home maintenance individual it may last 2 x life times. 👍

This will remove a bottom bracket, however I found removing mine impossible until I though of an idea. I was turning the correct way, but I was just holding the tool on the splines by hand and using an adjustable spanner. My bottom bracket wouldn't budge and the tool kept slipping. This damaged the threads on my bottom bracket. Some of the Youtube guides made this task seem so easy....likely because theirs was pre-loosened no doubt. Here's what I did. I found myself a bolt of appropriate size and some washers. Along with the washers I managed to bolt the tool in place on the bottom bracket splines so it wouldn't move. This allowed my to get more leverage and the bottom bracket unscrewed quite easily. Also, it's best to remove the non-drive side first. The right drive side you turn clockwise to loosen and on the left non drive side anti-clockwise to loosen. Easy way to remember is you turning forward towards the front wheel for loosening. This is for English threaded frames though, which are the most common.

After over 10 years! it was finally time to (well overdue) to change the bottom bracket on my spare GT hybrid bike. After reading reviews, and also previous experience with ParkTool I went for this tool. Now I did not read the description well enough, and was expecting that it had a 1/2" driver for my wrench. I do not have a 3/8" driver, nor a 1" socket. Luckily I have a ParkTool chainwhip, which I ended up using. Lots of lubricant. Boy...that was tight. I ended up using a hammer as a a last resort, which worked!. Same method applied on other side. And I did get the old rusty Truvativ bracket out. Slight bending of pins in the bottom bracket, but the tool appear absolutely fine. I guess it is quite expensive compared to alternative brands which I have not tried. Bought this anyway as I would have been more annoyed with myself if a low quality tool had damaged the fittings. Now to get a new bottom bracket, fit it, and chances are that the tool will end up in my toolbox never to be used again...

Solid well-made bottom bracket (Shimano/Deore) remover. Used with 1" socket and "T" bar. As there is very little recess on the bottom bracket splines, I found it necessary to thoroughly clean out all the spline recesses first to avoid slippage damage. Check which way to unscrew you splines before putting too much pressure on the bracket - mine was clockwise to UNSCREW on the drive side and anti-clockwise on the other side. Also make sure if you are replacing to get the matching overall length (mine was 123-mm), the dimensions of the bottom bracket sleeve (mine was 68-mm) and the screw thread diameter and pitch (can't remember the exact figures but 24-mm and about 1-mm pitch is what to look for) One thing to watch out for is the fact that only one side of the bearing is well supported, the other side is more of plastic dust cap. Cross threading this or too much pressure could spell disaster. The plastic cap is generally a distinctively different colour. Clean up the crank square sockets before refitting. The lightest of oils helps on the surfaces. The old bearing was well rusted, so the new one has a coting of lithium grease. Surprised to find water in the bracket, but given the number of ways water can get into the frame, it shouldn't have been

Forget all the look alike copies....I've tried 3. This one has the correct tooth width to do the job effortlessly. Yes, it's v expensive for what it is, but only one that could remove a Brompton bottom bracket and install a Shimano one.

Busqué mucho entre las grandes marcas de taller para ciclismo y aproveché lo que me pareció un gran precio comparando con la numerosas que existen en el mercado. En un inicio me gustaba la posibilidad de usar tanto con llave fija como de carraca y/o dinamométrica. Al final me decanté por el uso de una fija, que me deja fijar el extractor al eje con un tornillo de rosca y una arandela (similar al que sujeta las bielas pero de mayor longitud). Así al usarla no se estropearán los dientes manteniendo el extractor en la posición adecuada (impide que se salga al hacer fuerza para sacar un eje que esté muy duro, como aquellos en los que no se realizó mantenimiento durante años). Por esto el hueco se hace imprescindible en mi opinión, y descarta las cerradas para uso exclusivo de llave fija. En cuanto a las similares, el poder usar dos llaves fijas al mismo tiempo ,además del prestigio de la marca decantaría mi elección (alguna vez se necesitarán dos personas haciendo fuerza para sacar el eje pedalier o incluso golpes secos en la llave). Ojo al sentido de rosca. Protege cuadro y demás para no rayarlo. Ojalá sea útil. Saludos

Outil indispensable si vous entretenez et réparez vous-même votre vélo. La qualité est bonne pour un usage domestique. Pour un usage professionnel, je n'en sais rien, mais la robustesse semble rassurante.

Quality tool that fits the ebike bottom bracket perfectly with no play that I'm working on, didn't want to risk getting a cheaper one and damaging the teeth.
