Colour Active Super Wheel Cleaner, 600ml

If you’re like me and let your brake dust accumulate until your alloys look like they’re made of charcoal, you need this. I’ve tried the cheap sprays that smell like a chemistry lab accident, but Wonder Wheels Colour Active is on another level. Why it’s worth the hype: The "Bleeding" Effect: It sprays on clear/yellowish, but as soon as it hits the iron particles from your brakes, it turns a deep, satisfying purple. It’s not just a gimmick—it actually shows you where the grime is being dissolved. pH Neutral: This was the big seller for me. Most heavy-duty cleaners are acid-based, which can ruin your wheel finish over time. This stuff is safe for all lacquered wheels, so I didn't have to worry about my alloys peeling. Minimal Scrubbing: On "normal" levels of dirt, you can just spray, wait 5 minutes, and pressure wash it off. For the caked-on stuff behind the spokes, a quick hit with a wheel brush and it comes up looking brand new. A couple of tips: Don't do it in direct sun: If it dries on the wheel, it’s a pain to rinse off. Use it on cool wheels in the shade. The Smell: Look, it’s a wheel cleaner. It has that classic "sulfur" scent common with these reactive cleaners. It’s not pleasant, but it’s a small price to pay for wheels you can see your reflection in. Bottom Line: It’s easily the most effective "touchless-ish" cleaner I’ve used. My car looks about 5 years younger after a 10-minute application. Highly recommended!

I have purchased this product a couple of times now. It is a fairly effective wheel cleaner that comes in at a reasonable price. Easy to use, you simply apply by spraying the cleaner onto the wheel rim and leaving for a few minutes. You can then easily remove the majority of the dirt by lightly brushing with a wheel brush and rinsing off. It does leave the wheels looking nice and shiny but it won't remove stubborn marks.

Have bought a couple of these and seem to work well. Good to see the red colour to show it's working, not sure if it's just a gimmick though but at least the product actually works

It worked ok for lightly stained areas but required multiple applications and lots of elbow grease. I had one wheel that was heavily stained and it just wasn’t very effective at all. Next time I’d spend a bit more and try a different brand.

This works wonders! Gets all the dirt off the wheels after only a few minutes. No residue left after spraying off

Pretty good but I had to use quite a lot of it on each wheel to have a meaningful result. It also says not to get it on any braking components but that is essentially impossible if you want to have any chance of getting dirt off the alloys. Overall decent but I will try a different one next time.

This is a nice size bottle that really does remove even hard baked-in brake dust. You may need to apply it a few times, use a good suitable wheel brush, and be patient with the process, but the results are worth it. It really helps to restore wheels almost back to their former glory!

I have a Porsche with alloy wheels and I am REALLY PARTICULAR about what I use to clean them. It can't scratch them or leave a film, but it has to get off brake dust and road grime and get the inside of the rims clean, too. Hopefully with a minimum of effort on my part. This product fills the bill. Spray on cool wheels, wait a couple of minutes, and wash off. For best results, use a pressure washer to get it off. A regular hose nozzle works, too, but the pressure washer gets in all the nooks and crannies with no scrubbing and maybe just a quick pass with a sponge on a place you missed with the pressure washer. Highly recommend.
