ABUS Combiflex 2503 cable lock, 72501 Black

I rate ABUS kit functional with reasonable quality. This is a great product for it's intended purpose - ie preventing opportunistic theft by securing your bike for a few mins in low risk environments. It's lightweight and compact so can fit in a jersey pocket with no hassle. Fight the temptation to fiddle with it straight out of the box as you could get locked out of your own lock! The instructions aren't the clearest, but if you follow them carefully for first usage, you can set your own code and operate the lock quite easily.

Weighs nothing, fits perfectly in small under seat bag & plenty of length to easily lock up bike. Excellent quality, Great value.

Good little unit to keep your crush Helmet safe if you don’t have a box on the bike. Don’t think it would give up much resistance to a pair of cutters though.

These are small, anti opportunist thief locks. I have hand cutters which would snip through the cable in a single cut. But their purpose is not high security. They are designed to keep honest people honest. Mine are looped round a single motorcycle soft pannier and another around a roll top bag. Easily adjustable and very easy to set the lock number. I would not use them for overnight security but perfect to hinder a chancer at a cafe or filling station. I especially like the cinchable length. As an occasional cyclist, these would be fine for a cafe stop if your bike was in sight.

For what this is, a lightweight, easy to use, convenient cafe stop lock it is pretty good. Obviously it is not suitable for leaving your bike anywhere out of sight for any length of time but it can easily secure 3 bikes to deter opportunistic thieves. I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately on a recent stop the release button got stuck and no matter what I tried I could not get it to release, 30miles from home, leaving me with no option but to use brute force to break the lock. This happened after only owning the lock for 2 months.

It’s a very compact, easy to carry and easy to use deterrent. It won’t put up much of a fight to bolt cutters, but it will stop someone simply walking off with my bike. It may even make someone think twice about wanting to steal my bike.

Since we have friends who had their pushchairs stolen, I was adamant that we have a lock! Most of those on Amazon are shorter with 3-digit passcode lock. I was happy to find one longer. It is very compact and lightweight with straightforward instructions. The only bit I'm worried about is that it may feel too lightweight. I'm not sure how durable it would be, if someone actually tries to break it. Hence the 4 stars.

Me ha gustado mucho esta solución portátil. No es difícil de romper con una cizalla, pero sirve perfectamente para evitar el robo al descuido cuando paras en medio de una ruta en un bar. No pesa nada y se lleva cómodamente en el maillot.

Świetne kompaktowe zapięcie, które mogę mieć ze sobą na właściwie każdej przejażdżce. Oczywiście nie jest specjalnie mocne i pancerne ale do zostawienia roweru pod sklepem spokojnie się nadaje a mieści się w każdej kieszonce.
