Excelent keyboard, had it for a year and has been working perfectly, the design is so pretty!

I am very impressed with this keyboard. At first I was using it with my daily driver Mac laptop, and it worked just fine. But where it really shines is when I tested it with my Windows work laptop. It worked extremely well with that setup and it even has dedicated shortcut keys above the numpad for locking the screen and opening the calculator. The screen lock one is especially handy for my work laptop because I always lock the screen when I step away from my desk. The spacebar on this board is a little on the noisy side, but it actually sounds very similar to a classic, basic membrane keyboard like I used to use, so it isn't horribly annoying. Also at first I was concerned about this not having adjustable feet, but it just so happens that it sits at the perfect angle on my work desk, so that isn't an issue. The board itself is nice and heavy and sturdy so it has a premium feel to it. I would say the keys sound creamy, and have a decent thock to them. I like to use the wired connection so I am not concerned about battery life. I am really happy that the backlight is great in low light, and I can choose a static purple color! Several other boards I tried before this one didn't have a static purple option, just pink or blue or other colors. Overall I was initially not sure if this was worth $100 but after testing it with my work laptop, I am convinced. I am happy with this purchase. If anything comes up after a few months, I'll write an update.

This keyboard is so perfect! It's beautiful, has a great tactile sound to it (not too loud tho which is great for an office or library setting). I love that it has wireless, Bluetooth, and wired options allowing for maximum flexibility. I don't have recalibrate the keyboard when I use it between devices because I can just switch the mode button and it automatically connects to the device I've set it up with on that particular mode. Not to mention the price point! I got this on the sale for $60 and wow! Such a solid keyboard. I got the 60% layout so I could travel with a keyboard, but now I'm wanting the 100% (109 key) as an office staple. Definitely a satisfied customer! ***Note: the letters on the keys are not see through which kind of tenders the RGB aspect a bit useless other than fir aesthetic purposes. I was planning on using this keyboard in well lit spaces anyways so it's not a big deal for me-- but low-light typing wise, if you need to see your keys, these keycaps are not ideal.

This board is nice. Very nice. Right out of the box. The look is really timeless and classic with earthy colors and keycaps that feel amazing and ergonomic. I love how this board looks. It was one of the main reasons I bought it. It just has this classic aura to it. Really slick. I'm not a big fan of the Gateron Yellow Pros which are linear. O prefer the Brown Pros which are tactile. This board (the R108) doesn't have that option. The R100 board does, tho. A bummer, as I need the full keyboard layout with separated ten-key pad. I have both the R100 and R108 and prefer the feel of the R100, because of the Brown switches. The other issue I have is that neither Royalaxe nor ProtoArc offer a shine-through keycap variant. A real bummer as I use my board with and without room lighting. So I'm looking for keycaps that might be similar in shape and color to the original keycaps but with shine-through legends (probably don't exist...). I really hope Royalaxe and ProtoArc read this review. These R-series boards are REALLY nice right out of the box. But they don't have nearly enough variations in their options (just three color variations) and no Brown switch option on the R108. And no shine-through keycaps!!! what a drag guys!! lol Hope they'll read this and improve on their board. I did add some rubber o-rings to the R100 and it made a nice difference to the thocky feel of the caps. Much smoother and less key ping. (Another suggestion for Royalaxe and ProtoArc.) Though this board isn't perfect by any means, it IS a VERY nice board out of the box. I would say it's a great board to consider if you want a modded keyboard's look and feel, without the price tag of starting from scratch or dealing with breaking the thing open to add mods. If you're like me, you'll want to add e-tape to the bottom of the PCB, some Kilmat sound dampening to the bottom of the chassis, and clear rubber o-rings to the keycap stems. These are all cheap and simple mods you can do yourself without any experience (check out YT vids for easy tutorials and ALWAYS BE GENTLE when modding your board!!!). To Royalaxe and ProtoArc, PLEASE make this board with shine-through keycap legends. It doesn't really make sense to have a fully RGB board that doesn't shine through the legends. Seems pretty pointless to me. lol Cheers!
