STRICTLY BEDS&BUNKS Pandora Triple Sleeper, 3ft Single

To be honest, I was a bit weary because I've heard some give low stars due to quality problem. Missing items & basically being poor workmanship. However, I received this a few weeks ago but only just put it up as was re decorating the boys room & I am really impressed. The wood is solid & smooth. It's bigger than I expected & very sturdy. However, my 3 boys are like apes. So I will be bolting it to the side wall just in case lol. Attached a picture for you to see the end result. It definitely is a 2 man or women job however. I consider myself a pretty nifty handyman. But still required another pair of hands. Highly recommended & if your tight on space. This is a brilliant space saver & cheaper than many normal bunk beds! My only suggestion is this. If your kids are a bit wild in terms of climbing & swinging around. I would recommend pre drilling holes & adding extra screw to the bottom of the strip of wood to support the safety slats on the sides. I noticed the screws were located at the bottom of the slats rather than the middle or the top. Perfectly fine if your kids are gentle & not too boisterous. But adding extra screws just in case will save it breaking later! As a experienced handyman. It was clear to me to do this. But not everyone may see why. I have attached a photo to explain. The White circled are the original hole locations. The red circled are the one's I made for myself. But just realised I've made a error & used the wrong hole at the top. You will see, the pre drilled holes are too close to the edge of the wood & won't provide much support if the side rails are pulled or pushed! They need to be further in & on 2 screws not 1.

Great beds, well made. Found it a tad hard to put together, needed arms like an octopus x inspector Gadget (I guess that would = Dr Octopus) but in fairness I'm not used to assembling DIY furniture and my 15 & 11 year old where helping me so between the three of us it was basically the blind leading the blind! But we did it so if you are used to DIY then I'm sure it'll be no problem. Actual assembled bed is great, good quality, sturdy & we'll worth the money. The instructions were pretty easy to follow then kinda tailed off into using your own common sense (but that may be my own fault for reading them wrong or not understanding properly)??? The company were extremely friendly & helpful & gave me complete reassurance which is the only reason I bought the bunk bed on the first place, more than anything in the world I HATE bad/pants customer service & ALWAYS choose anything I buy from places with notable customer services, this company DEFINATLY have great customer services.

This bed is ideal for small children. The middle bunk is the most difficult to access and requires you to be either small or limber. Both the top and bottom bunks are easily accessed. The timber is unfinished but was essentially ready to paint or varnish with only a couple of areas requiring a light sanding. This is a very sturdy bed. Ours took a few days to settle in, with some tightening required on some of the bolts, but is now firm and solid. The components are noticeably stronger and thicker than those of other beds. The slats are 50% thicker than those in the preceding Ikea bed for example. We have been using it for three weeks. Assembly was very simple, as all of the parts are marked and a step by step booklet walks you through the process. It did take a few hours due to the sheer number of screws and parts and you do need two people to fit some parts together. We are delighted with our purchase and only regret not getting one sooner. This bed is a great piece of furniture and in my opinion represents excellent value for money.

Now it's assembled I'm quite impressed with the bed. It is simple yet sturdy and I get the impression it will probably last the kids for many years. The customer service was excellent, delivery was prompt and well communicated; the driver didn't even complain about parking which is unusual where I live! I think the seller should update their description though to properly set the expectations of the purchaser in terms of assembly. I thought that 'easy' would mean comparable to some of the better known flat pack providers. That's definitely not the case. Instructions - There is a colour coding system that works quite well. You read how to deal with different colours and that pattern continues throughout the build, so often you don't need to refer to the instructions. However, some parts are frustratingly vague and at points you are left staring at a blurry photocopy of the end product and reverse engineering that to work out what to do next. Also, I got the impression the ladder design had changed and my instructions were not entirely consistent with the new ladder configuration. Fixings and tools - There are TONS of fixings - it's basically a sack! Nothing is bagged separately which is a bit annoying so it's worth spending some time sorting everything first. Some of my bolts were burred so getting them to bite on the little 'barrels' was unbelievably frustrating. Eventually I realised that burring was the issue and screwing the bolt through the barrel outside the bed before assembling properly helped a great deal. On the plus side I had loads left over at the end so no worries if you drop one or two pieces through the floorboards as I did! The tools are totally inadequate. I defy anyone to screw in SO MANY 10cm wood screws with the tiny allen key in the bag. I wouldn't even contemplate assembling this beast without an electric screwdriver, even then expect to spend several hours at it! A drill for pilot holes also made the job easier. Overall, I'm happy with the bed - it does look and feel good. I think if you buy one in the knowledge that it's going to be a bit of a mission to assemble and that you'll need a bit of space, preparation, your own tools and a fair amount of patience you wont be disappointed.

Exactly what we needed. Customer service was outstanding. We needed an electronic copy of the instructions and were sent this by email withing a few minutes of requesting. The instructions are excellent with lots of very clear pictures. Delivery updates and tracking information was also first class's and the bed arrived within the 2 hour window as promised. Of course there are a lot of bits to put together but they are all colour coded and each box has a packing list so working out how to put it together was very easy. There are lots of screws and dowels so it is a good idea to put everything into separate bowls at the start. It took about 3 hours to put together. We would strongly recommend to have 2 people and also to have an electric drill or screw driver with cross head bit and Allen key bit just to save time and effort. An Allen key is provided but the drill would help. The bed is very well machined and everything lined up perfectly. Nothing was missing (actually more screws and dowels were provided than needed which was good). Finally, the bed itself is very sturdy, looks great and the children love it. Highly recommended!

This is an absolutely FANTASTIC bed!!! It arrived in the delivery time slot as was explained and it wasn't that hard to build. I built the majority of it by myself, however I needed a wee hand from my wife when it came to joining the side panels. I am by no means a DIY expert but this wasn't as hard as some customers described and there were no bits missing or damaged. My daughters absolutely love it and it is extremely sturdy!!! As for changing the sheets, even though it takes my weight I simply ask my 6 year old daughter to help out when its time for fresh sheets and she loves the responsibility. I would definitely recommend this bed for parents with 3 or more children as not only does it look great but it frees up so much more room in the bedroom for toys etc. Thanks to Strictly beds for a GREAT product.

While the bed itself is fantastic. I recieved only half of the 3 tier bed and a cabin bed. Which was quickly resent. However getting pick up for the cabin bed has been nothing but stress and still has not been collected. Also some screws missing but these were sent out for the nest day. The bed is strong and beautifully made. Highly recommended. Also the delivery and collection is outsourced. So not the blame of the company.

This is perfect! It's great quality, solid wood triple bunk bed. Easy to build, but, you definetly need two people to get it done a bit quicker and to put the side pannels. Don't attempt to put the side pannles on yourself like I did as I ended up snapping a dowle bit in half, luckly the side pannel was ok. I did manage to built the ends, the ladders, and the bottom bases myself and I'm not a diy expert, just a working mum. The deliver was really fab too as you get to pick a time slot. The delivery man was very pleasant. All round, the bunks are great, the kids love them, they free up soo much space. I have a 7 year old on the top bunk a 5 year old in the middle bunk and a 20 month old on the bottom bunk. Couldn't have asked for more. I've also slept on the bottom bunk with the little one for the past few nights while she has been ajusts to being in a different room from us and out of her travel cot and I've had a good sleep.
