The Executioner Pro Fly Zapper Mosquito, Wasp, Bug, Insect Killer Swatter Electric Fly Zapper Racket Single Layer for Efficient Zapping Indoor Outdoor

I have tried a few electric swatters but this is always reliably the best. The larger size means better chance of a mid air kill. The executioner kills smaller flies and wasps instantly a blue bottle usually needs two doses as the first only stuns it. Care must be taken as it doesn’t have a shield so it will give a pinch if you touch the business area, but your are guaranteed to get the fly or mossie, whereas the guarded ones can lead to misses.

Fun toy, but it's very fragile. If you accidentally hit something while swatting a fly, the casing can shift, causing the internal wires to move out of place and the apparatus to stop working. I managed to fix it a few times by putting the wires back where they belonged, but it kept happening. Eventually, i had a genius moment, and reinforced the frame with a few zip ties to keep it from opening up. Since then, the wires have stayed in place, and it keeps working even if I accidentally bump it into something while hunting flies.

I love how this thing has a real kick. I took 4 flies down in 2 sessions. Then came the ultimate opportunity to take down the beast in my living room. This was a monster. I was extremely excited to take this bad boy down. It proved elusive at first. Then after a few attempts it just rested on the strings. I thought there must be something wrong. This guy is laughing at me. When I looked down, to my horror I noticed no light, it had run out of batteries. This thing while extremely capable let me down at a crucial time. Has to lose a star. 3 small flies and two massive cheap batteries. Embarrassing. I’ve now decided to change to Duracell. Can’t wait to pick this journey up once more. Edit; it wasn’t the batteries, it was the bread knife who dropped the fly zapper, batteries displaced and she put them back the wrong way without telling me. Back to 5 stars.

Great product - most smaller flies are killed after one hit, and most bigger flies are stunned in one hit then killed on the second hit. However, my swatter only came with 1x C-battery inside the battery compartment. And battery compartment cover appeared to be missing the 2x plastic catches, so the cover cannot lock into place properly. It was shipped with a rubber band which can keep it in place, but not sure if the plastic catches were snapped off, or if it’s a manufacturing defect.

The very best one so far. Well priced, sturdy and easy to handle and use. My husband has great fun with it, I think he is making it into a sport. Super fast delivery extremely happy overall.

Zaps the cr@p out of bitey and stingy things. Vapourises fruit flies that are determined to swim, get p1ssed and then drown in your drink. The one on the right was my original, I accidentally bought the pro, on the left. Not a problem with that, just thought I'd photograph them together so you get a sense of different sizes. Both give that same satisfying CRACK that would give a certain BBC wildlife presenter a self obsessed hissy fit. To sum up, last week I bought a mains powered with UV lamp zapper from Amazon, because a couldn't be @rsed chasing these flies around. However it gave a tiny zap, nothing near as big a crack as the Executioner. So sent that back and bought another different one, also mains powered from Screwfix, thinking that'd be better and at over twice the price, it should have been. Same result, a bit of a zap, but the fly was not dead, just on its back flapping its wings, 10 minutes later its up and flown off again. There was also same disappointment with little fruit flies, not just house flies. 10 mins later, still moving. Buy either of these Executioners if you want to be sure of dispatching quickly and cleanly.

Brought this one to replace one of two I brought ten years ago as it had stopped zapping. Stuns wasps and large flies, blows up smaller flying pests insects. If you feel sorry for the stunned ones they soon fly away again, or you could zap them again and RIP! Uses two C cell batteries for maximum power.

I bought this as I've had a swarm of midge-like things bothering me in my garden a few times and I wanted some payback. And for little midges and clothes moths, this racket works pretty well. However when attempting to dispatch a housefly, the limitations of this zapper were laid bare. Firstly, the impressive build-quality and heft of the zapper works against it: It's a bit like trying to play badminton with a tennis racquet, the zapper is a bit too heavy and unwieldy to track a fast-moving housefly. Holding down the button to keep the racquet live isn't much of a bother, but I did loosen the battery cover with the occasional swing at the fly. The "Pro" version uses C-type batteries, whereas the standard version uses AA batteries. Secondly, it just doesn't have the punch needed to dispatch a good-sized housefly. I caught up with the fly and the zapper gave out an impressive crack of spark as the fly made contact with it, but after being zapped, the fly just flew off. With a combination of disappointment in the zapper and newfound respect for the fly, I pursued the fly around the house until I cornered it against a window and caused the pest to fly into the zapper's wires. Another crack of spark and noise, but the fly just dropped a few inches under the zapper and flew away. In fairness it was clearly stunned and landed on the ground. As it landed by the back door, I opened the door and it flew outside, probably wondering what on earth had just happened. As I get the occasional wasp in the house, I now know that the zapper is unlikely to kill a wasp on first contact my zap alone, and after zapping, I am likely to be faced with a wasp that is not only alive and well, but pretty ticked off and looking for revenge. It would be a bit like facing a pitbull with a taser. Yeah it might work, but if it doesn't, I've just made things worse. In conclusion, for clouds of midges, this is absolutely a great zapper. For larger insects, it's not a guaranteed kill, and when tackling wasps, that's a definite problem for me. Additionally, if you're not particularly strong, I think this zapper is going to be too heavy to be effective and useful. That said, it IS pretty cool-looking. If you must have one, I suggest you buy the smaller version, as it'll be lighter and more useable than the "Pro".
