Useful bag
Yes the zipper pulls look tacky but they work and, being made of rubber, they're easy to use even during this spell of cold weather. The bag itself is surprisingly roomy. It comfortably holds a DSLR with attached vertical grip and kit 18-55 zoom lens; the remaining central compartment holds a 70-300 zoom. Left side of the bag holds a 50 prime lens, plus 28-80 zoom; the right compartment easily holds a flash unit plus an off-camera grip and support plate. Lots of room in the main compartment for other kit too, including cleaning kit, cloths, standard remote release plus infra-red release. Middle pocket contain filters, intervalometer, torch, spare camera and flash batteries, while the outer pocket has mini-tripod and maps. The two side pouches contain memory cards and more filters. The build quality is pretty good considering the price. Other back-packs I've owned have been sturdier but also considerably bulkier. Providing you pack the bag well, there shouldn't be any concerns about it losing shape. I can't see there being any issues with the carrying handle either, having swung the bag around a few times this past week. It also fits easily one one shoulder if you just want to quickly tote it around, say to and from the car when you set out/return. When worn on both shoulders, the copious padding makes it very comfortable. I'm not a fan of waist belts generally (or chest belts in particular) so my one complaint is that neither can be removed. However, the bag is small enough that it rides quite high on the back and so the waist belt can be left closed and it nestles into the small of your back without any discomfort. I was able to wear the bag for a few hours without any problems. The tripod straps are useful although they're at their best when your tripod is inside its own bag, as this provides a better grip and prevents it sliding down. A pocket to slip the feet into would've been a welcome addition but that would probably add to the price. There's no separate waterproof cover but the bag is certainly shower-proof and, as the last few days has shown, snow-proof too! A large heavy-duty plastic bag stuffed into one of the pockets solves any potential waterproofing problems though. On the whole, it's an ideal little back-pack for a day's shooting. Although it's not strong (or secure) enough to be placed in a luggage hold, it is small enough to be hand luggage and can be stowed in an overhead locker on a plane, or quickly tossed onto the back seat of a car. Considering that it's sold as a "basic" product, it's actually far more than that and I'm already starting to use it as my main out-and-about camera bag. The only problem was the 4-day delay between ordering and it finally being despatched from Amazon. Other kit ordered at the same time (and later) from Amazon affiliates turned up before the bag did. Apart from that small gripe, I'd recommend this bag to anyone just starting out in photography and who wants to set out for the day with a single camera, a couple of lenses, and some ancilliary equipment.

Fantastic value
I have never purchased a bag like this before, but I have purchased over the years lots of camera equipment and a variety of cases. What I have learned is that I benefit every time I wait and in this case having viewed many other bags at high street shops, I felt that they were of better quality BUT not 3 or 4 tmes as good when compared to price. OK opening the bag. Lots of individual compartments in the main storage area, with velcro which really does stick to the compartment material. Mine is holding a Canon 550D with the standard 18-55mm lens fitted, a 55-250 mm lens in a separate compartment, a 50 mm lens and a further 400 mm lens, more importantly there are lots more spaces to accommodate a half dozen filters, a remote control, a charger and a non standard flash. Still compartments left and not even got to the pockets which so far host a single spare SD card. I could add m rugged and still valued Kodak 880 and a P60 flash that is relatively small and both of those items could easily fit in, oh yes and a Sony compact. So space is not a problem, but will I be able to carry it all: you could quite easily overpack just because you have the space available. Onto the material and construction. It seems to be made out of a type of fabric standard to all of the bags that I have viewed, although I would not say it is of the best quality, but that should not be a drawback, but I do wonder how well it would stand up to a rugged liefstyle: still at the price, I could buy at least two spares, so not a problem. The straps seem strong and overall, the stitching looks sound and pressure points have reinforement very evident, so overall the package does seem pretty good, but what really makes it extraordinary is what you get for the money. No complaints at all and it is the perfect companion for someone like me who likes to keep his camera equipment safe, but does not lug it all over the world, although it will be on my back this year when I visit Cape Canaveral, Bermuda, the Azores, Lisbon, Cork and Le Havre: ok I am going on a cruise, but unlike most of the other passengers, we tend to move around a lot. Great item, well worth the money and ideal for those of us who don't want to spend a vast amount on a bag, preferring to spend it on lens and fast memory cards.

8 Year Review
I purchased this backpack in 2013 and have used it frequently since then so a review now may be helpful to someone thinking about buying it. My motivation for buying this was to store my SLR, lenses and peripherals in it rather than always taking it everywhere with me. At the time I simply wanted something that was padded and large enough to hold everything and keep it all protected and together in my home. This bag was cheap and seemed to fit the bill. When it arrived my first impressions were that it was a decent size and well padded. There were enough padded compartments to separate the camera body from the lenses and several pockets for batteries and filters etc. I was concerned however about the stitching on the straps as well as the quality of the zippers. In the years since then I have used this to stuff and over-stuff it with camera gear. Mostly it stays in my house storing gear but from time to time l wear it on my back on trips. How has it done? Mostly well - it works well for storage and protecting my equipment. It works fairly well for day trips on my back, being comfortable and holding all l need. I would absolutely recommend it for these tasks. Where does it fall down? Mainly on durability - mine has lasted because I am careful with it, which is a burden sometimes as I have always felt that it wouldn’t stand up to hard work. It is fine for day trips but l would not take it on a big trip anywhere remote. The stitching on the straps doesn’t inspire confidence and the unbranded nylon zippers give me the sense that they could easily fail. Further it is not fully waterproof, it is certainly water resistant and fine for a brief shower but nothing more. If you want a ‘go anywhere’ bag that will never break, is waterproof and you can put on your back for days on end, this isn’t it. However, if you want a bag to keep your camera gear together, which is well padded and fits quite a bit of equipment as well as the occasional day trip, this may be it. I need to mention value - for the low price l paid this bag represents tremendous value. In all I would recommend this bag. 4 stars.

Overall I am very happy with this camera bag and think it excellent value ...
Overall I am very happy with this camera bag and think it excellent value at this price. I’ve been using mine for a couple of months now. Construction is excellent with heavy duty nylon and strong stitching and zips. The back is padded. I find it comfortable to wear and carry. The build quality seems equal to that of some of the big brand names. The main compartment is spacious; I can fit into it a Nikon D90 with an 80-200mm lens attached, a large flash unit plus a couple of other lenses. I cover quite a lot of events and usually two or three lenses are more than adequate. I’m planning to get a second D90 (2 cameras mean you don’t waste time changing lenses so often) and am hopeful it’ll hold two D90 bodies plus 2-3 lenses. On the front is a small zipped compartment that can hold spare batteries, SD cards plus my mobile phone etc. There is a laptop compartment – being honest this is quite small. It would hold a tablet or net book OK, but if carrying a laptop + cables etc is critical for you then I’d suggest you look at something larger. I tend not to use this compartment for much more than tablet, notebook, pens, business cards, sweets etc. On each side is a fixed loop of strap, presumably for carrying a monopod – I do sometimes carry a medium sized monopod and it only just fits through the strap, these aren’t adjustable or elasticised and aren’t big enough for a decent sized tripod or large monopod. There is another small pocket low down on the front, I don’t use it. On the sides are two pockets, each big enough for a compact camera or a small drinks bottle etc. One pocket holds a rain protector – I usually don’t take this with me as I tend to be working in places where I can take cover if it rains; but it’d be useful for those that venture further outdoors. The bag has fixed waist straps. I’d prefer it if these were removable. I find the shoulder straps comfortable and secure enough as it is, but don’t like the waist straps hanging lose. It’s a minor niggle, I guess if I really didn’t want these straps I’d cut them off. Those that go hiking might find these useful. Overall I have no regrets about buying this and expect to get several years use out of it providing I take good care of it. For the price it’s a bargain.

Simple cheap basic camera backpack. You get what you pay for.
November 2011. I recently bought the Amazon basics camera bag from Amazon UK (on sale) for 15 pounds plus 5 pounds shipping, which came to a grand total in euros of about 26. at Amazon Spain the price is normally listed at 30. The bag is basically as its name implies, it is basic. It is also inexpensive, and essentially you get what you pay for. The backpack is not particularly large, or extensive in features, although it does cover the basics. The quality is about what you'd expect for the price, in other words it is fairly minimal. I suspect that it can probably hold up to light to moderate use, but it's nowhere near professional quality. I have experience with products from Eastpak, Kata, The North Face and Eagle Creek, and this Amazon basics bag is nowhere near them in terms of quality. Of course, it is also nowhere near them in terms of price. Once again you get what you pay for. In essentials, it is good enough. The padding is fine, and the quality should get you through a reasonable amount of normal wear, just don't expect it to put up with years of hard usage and not begin to show obvious signs of wear and tear. .Another reviewer stated that he would use this backpack for traveling around England, but he would not take it with him on a serious assignment to some third world country. I would recommend this backpack for someone who wants an inexpensive solution to store his camera gear in a midsized (not large) backpack. For those who are looking for professional quality - or close to it - I would recommend spending more for quality name brand. It all depends on what you want and need, and can afford.

Great Price, But....
There's no avoiding the main selling point of this pack. For what it is, it goes without saying that the price is excellent. You won't hear any complaints from me, but with the low price come a few obvious tradeoffs. Just be aware of the cons before you buy - you may find it more rewarding to spend a little extra. Size: Sizewise you're looking at something around the same as a kid's school bag rather than a hefty daypack. Take a look at the sample images of the interior and you'll see it's quite a small bag, and that's no bad thing. Fully laden with an SLR, a range of lenses, flash gun and accessories you can carry this thing comfortably on your shoulder, but I wouldn't want to wear it as a backpack for fear that people would think I'd accidentally picked up my (hypothetical) son's bag :) Right now I have 5 lenses (3 small primes, a 135mm prime and a 70-210mm zoom), 2 flash guns and a Canon 450D loaded into the bag and everything fits nice and snug in the adjustable slots. The two clear pockets on the inside front are perfect for memory cards, filters and what not, and my iPad fits comfortably in the front pocket on the outside (though that pocket isn't padded). My only gripe about the size is that there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the exterior to securely strap a monopod, and it won't fit comfortably inside. Conclusion? This is absolutely a camera bag, designed to hold only your camera and camera paraphernalia. The additional pockets are quite spacious, but once your camera and lenses are in there you won't be able to fit your lunch or a jacket (worth thinking about if you're planning to carry just the one bag on an all-day shoot). Build quality: In reference to the complaint of the guy who gave this one star (that the top carry strap broke), I'd agree that that could be a problem. The weight of an SLR body and a few lenses can quickly add up, and I don't think I'd trust that weight to a flimsy little strap (especially on a generic bag such as this, licensed to Amazon but designed and made God know where). The stitching on each backpack strap, however, runs about 3 inches. If those straps begin to give you're gonna know about it for a long time before they finally detach completely. One thing I noticed about the quality is that one of the rubberised zipper tags came off in my hand the first time I touched it. The tags haven't been securely connected to the clasps. Also, seriously Amazon? Five brightly coloured zippers to advertise that I went for the cheapest of the cheap? Are you trying to get me beat up for my lunch money? Break out the duct tape and cover those mothers. I have no problems at all with the interior. The back is fairly well padded, the body is deep enough to keep your equipment from coming up against the unpadded front and the velcro dividers seem strong enough to keep everything basically in place. At £20 you really can't expect this bag to last a lifetime; at £20 it doesn't matter. It won't outlast you by a long haul, but it will last long enough so long as you don't put it through hell. I'd take this thing with me anywhere in England, but on my next trip to the Gobi it's staying at home. Conclusion? Quality isn't great, but it's exactly what you'd expect for £20 and a little more. Overall conclusion: Hovering somewhere between 3 and 4 out of 5. It's cheap, handy, not really that poorly constructed and it'll do the job so long as you don't really test it. If you're going on a sightseeing holiday you'll be fine, but if you plan to take your equipment anywhere outside of a comfortable western environment you should really be investing in higher quality. This is where a solid 4 gets knocked down (perhaps unfairly) to a high 3. If you need a bag to carry an SLR and a selection of lenses there's a good chance you'll be travelling to places that aren't exactly child-proofed. You're gonna come up against dust, sharp edges, bouncy buses, packed trains, overhead luggage compartments and people who don't care if your prized Nikon gets dinged up. If you're on a tight budget and you just need something to carry your camera to the local park this is all well and good. If you need it for anything more demanding, spend a few quid extra and buy something from one of the market leaders. Considering the contents of the bag it's probably worth the investment. Final note: When I started writing this review I had a mind to score it as a 4, verging on 5. It was only as I wrote that I really thought about the limitations of the bag. In the past year I've spent time in Mongolia, India, Thailand, Cambodia and the US, and I'll soon be moving back to Mongolia for a long spell - when I look at this bag I have to admit that I wouldn't trust it any of those places. I like it, and I don't think it's a bad product, but I'll be replacing it with something else before I next get on a plane. ***UPDATE*** I've been using this bag for about 18 months now, and it's undergone quite a lot of rough treatment. As expected, the top carry strap didn't last long. It was torn off by an angry Chinese rickshaw driver with minimal effort (and I still had to pay the fare, damn it). The stitching of the right shoulder strap (which I use the most) is a little frayed and probably won't last much longer, but other than that the bag has held up surprisingly well. Even with all the crap it's been put through over the last 18 months the bag is in great shape. For ~£20 it's performed much better than I expected. So, this review has been upgraded to 5 stars. The problems I mentioned in the original review still hold true, but the build quality is good enough to stand up to rough treatment over the long term, so well done Amazon :)

Initially a superb bag... had two where handle came away at the seam on both
The first part of this review praises this item to heaven and back. It was written shortly after I'd received it and I have left the original review as intended. However, if you skip straight to the bottom you will see I have mad two further edits... and now I'm not happy at all... If you don't fancy reading the whole review here's my conclusion... this bag is fantastic value for money! If you like a bit more detail, read on... This is my second Amazon basics backpack (I previously had the larger one) and I love it as much as the first. My review of the larger bag if you're interested - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R3RK73F8ZZ62N3/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00CD778LC I have had several backpacks over the years ranging from the cheaper ones to expensive Lowepro's and I much prefer the Amazon basics. They are so practical, well made and dirt cheap. The larger one I had was truly cavernous and held two Canon bodies, several lenses, laptop, reflector and more accessories than you could shake a stick at. You could argue too much, as it weighed over 9kg when full of my gear. Last year I sold all of my Canon kit, including the backpack, and switched 100% to Fuji mirrorless (amazing cameras btw). Having tried a couple of slingback backpacks I realised I needed another Amazon basics, but smaller than the previous one. This backpack isn't quite so cavernous, but is still like a tardis. It's currently holding: Two Fuji bodies (X-T3 and X-T20) 18-55mm zoom 23mm prime 50mm prime 90mm prime 55-200mm zoom Two chargers and leads Four spare batteries Godox V350 speedlight and trigger iPad Several filters Memory cards, rechargeable batteries and other accessories The weight is less than 5kg with that little lot inside it - a huge bonus for me. There is still room for more (I could certainly get another small prime in there) and a lot more accessories. The straps on the backpack are very strong, the zips are great and the padded shoulder pads/straps and padded bottom make it very comfortable when it's on your back. Straps on the side enable you to carry a travel tripod too. The padded inserts are very versatile, allowing you to configure your kit as you wish. The only thing I don't like is the inserts are black and I occasionally have to rummage around to find things. The larger backpack had a grey inserts, which I prefer. That is my only gripe, but certainly not enough to give this backpack anything less than 5 stars. Buy with confidence! Edit: Just a few days after writing my glowing review, and five days outside of the return window, the handle at the top of the backpack came away at the seam. Now need to find out how Amazon will replace it. Knocking my review down to two stars pending a replacement. Second edit: Amazon kindly sent me a second bag FOC provided I sent the original one back. Must admit I pretty much left it to the last minute but the link to return the item is 'dead' and can't send it back (even though I had an email to say it had to be returned by 7th September and today is the 5th). The irony is, the replacement backpack has exactly the same fault, as the handle on this one is coming away at the seems. So it now looks as though I will be left with two faulty back packs that I can no longer return, both with the same fault, and I'm going to end up paying for both of 'em. Downgrading my review to one star and would take it down further if there was the option. Would I now recommend this product? Absolutely not!!

Great pack that's stronger than I thought it would be
The main reason I went for this backpack was it had the space I needed at the right price. I have been using a Lowepro sling pack which has served me well for years but now I've upgraded the camera and got a couple more lenses it simply isn't enough. The Amazon Basic backpack looked like it had more space and that certainly has proved to be the case. I've been impressed with the number of places it has to keep things, the two inner pockets on top of the main camera and lens area help with extras you need to carry and the main compartment has got more than enough space for a biggish main camera (A77), 16-50, 70-300, 11-16 and 28-50 lenses along with filters charger and other accessories. Not sure if I could get a laptop in, a really thin one like a MacBook Air would probably sit fine in the middle pocket. I was a little worried about build quality after reading some of the reviews. I've had no problem with the build, just been away to Canada to put it through it's paces and while it's not a rugged pack I've had absolutely no problems. I've attached a full size tripod to the clips on the side, ridden with it on my back for miles and there's no sign of issues with the stitching or the straps that were holding the tripod in place. I must admit I was expecting something but actually it's holding together surprisingly well for me. Get yourself a rain cover, whilst the material will more or less keep off the odd shower it's certainly not designed to be waterproof and at this price it would be quite unfair to expect that. I use my CamelBak cover which does the job fine. For the price you can't beat it, I'm very pleased!

love the bag
have been using the bag for a while now. take it everywhere with me. still in good condition. love the belt around waste because when I carry the camera I can stick it into the belt for support... maybe not everyone's choice but I love it side pockets a bit small so I do not use them much only for tissues and lens cleaner for me it serves the purpose and I'm happy with the backpack

Good DSLR bag at an affordable price!
I'm using this bag for my Canon Kiss X4 Double Zoom Kit. It houses the camera body, 18-55 wide lens, 55-250 telephoto lens, plus other extras like 2 x lens hood, 4 x lens filters, user manual & an extra battery. I can fit all of them inside and still have plenty of room to spare. It also comes with a strap at the side to hold a tripod. It feels like it is water resistant too, though I haven't tested it yet during heavy rain. Great bag over all, it offers good protection for your camera and its accessories at an affordable price.

"German winner price-performance"
This Amazon Basics Backpack for cameras and accessories is very well designed, with attention to minute details. It is “Made in China”, but the workmanship is outstanding, precision of seams, and overall finishing quality. The fabric appears to be water repellent, as tested in a minor drizzle. Online presentation by Amazon is very accurate, with clear quality photos, inclusive photo of German award “winner price-performance”. The specifications are precise. Before buying, I relied exclusively on those pics/specs/measurements. Backpack size is very compact, and yet roomy inside to hold all my cameras, chargers and accessories, plus more. Thick-padded interior compartments can be rearranged as-needed. The two inside roomy flat pockets with clear walls, are excellent to store small items, such as memory cards, batteries etc. The outside large pocket perfectly accommodates my 12” laptop. The small pocket in front provides room for either documents/paperwork or a tablet up to 9”. The two small side pockets are handy, however closed on Velcro, thus not suitable to carry any valuables when traveling. The straps and back padding are thick and excellent. The backpack has even hips-chest straps. Side loops for tripod are excellent, but create a slight load balance problem, pulling the backpack to one side when a heavier tripod attached. The strap-handle on top seems to be a little fragile, however so far it holds well, after three months of using with full load. Overall a clear “winner price-performance” by German standards. As a very discriminatory buyer, a professional engineer having had written scores of technical reviews in my industry, and a hobbyist photo-videographer, I am very impressed and satisfied.

Highly reccommend
I've searched...and searched...and searched for the perfect camera bag. I was ready to spent more, if the bag had what I needed. And then I came across this beauty. Not too small, not too big. It fits my sony a7rII, sony kit lens, 90 mm macro, and tamron 150-500. Then it also fits my cleaning products, filters and batteries. And it fits my carbon fiber tripod perfectly. You can clip the bag at your chest area (what I hated in my other bags) BUT it also has a clip option at your waiste, and that is what I was looking for due to back pain with other bags I own. Highly reccommend this camera bag to anyone who doesn't carry too many lenses and is looking for a middle size bag. Very happy with it!!

Mejor costo - beneficio
