is the black plastic a velvety matt texture, or is it just smooth black plastic?

hi, its matt black, sort of like rubber. its a great little thing, very neat. I use it when I am having a bath as OI have a tendency to fall asleep so I set it for 10/15minutes! The ring is quite loud and lengthy!

Does it make a loud noise when the timer is finished?

I bought this for my eighty-five year old dad, who is deaf and he says it is fine. What is important is you turn the dial all the way round and then back to the time you want to set; that way the ringer works fine.

Can I have a full refund pleas the bell does not ring? It is not fit for the use I need.
