Yes,just rub it into your heel/toes or whatever. I use it all over when going on holiday to hot places as my feet blister,I start about 4 weeks before at bedtime and put socks on for a bit. I can honestly say that if I hadn’t discovered this cream I would have spent the last 6 years holidaying in Wales instead of Mexico etc. Try the silicone heel/toe protectors after applying if you don’t mind sweaty feet all night!! Great stuff 👟

Is this cream more appropriate for hiking than the Gewhol Extra?

I haven't tried the Extra version; but this foot cream is the best I have ever used for hiking and running. I don't get sore feet or blisters now I use it, and I do some really long stuff like 100 mile races, mountain marathons etc. I have recommended it to all my running friends and they recommend it on to theirs'!!

I have soft feet that sweat quite a lot but get blisters, would this help as it seems to be used more for dry skin on feet?

I think that this cream is the best foot cream I have ever tried. It can be used on sweaty feet, can keep foot odor away and it is great on dry feet as well. If used daily, preferably at night before bed, your feet will stay in great condition.

Would this work for boxing as pushing off on the ball of my foot repeatedly causes horrible blisters on the ball of my foot?

Yes I think it may work well. I walked the West Highland Way covering around 10-12 miles each day over rough terrain. Creamed my feet well before setting off in the morning and again in the evening after showering. I never had a blister or any other problems with my feet. A pair of good quality walking socks and boots also helps.
