70487 Magnetic Nut Setter Set, 6 Piece Metric, Color Coded, 1/4-Inch Hex Drive, Impact Rated

I use these bits on a daily basis. I love the color coding for bit size. The first set of bits I bought from anther supplier were all black which has two problems if you drop and loose one good luck finding it again and they were not straight so using them was annoying. These color coded bits are great quality for the price and are durable. They have yet to strip and are completely straight. They’re small and can be added to a small carry box or belt pouch. It wold have been better if they came in there own carry case but the I only use 4 of the sizes so they each have there place in my tool belt.

These are great. Long reach and impact rated the magnet is strong and helps you reach tough places. One downside is that they are shallow. What I mean is that you cannot run a nut down a bolt or stud that is very long. Klein makes some that have hollow shanks and you can do it. Otherwise. I am very happy.

Watching chicanic. And she had them in her store. Great for working on Honda small engines. Only reason i got them is they are magnetic. But seem very solid. No adapters on my Dewalt. Just put on and go. Dont forget to get SAE ones too for older Briggs Quantums.

The magnets in the smaller socket sizes are strong enough to hold the screws in place. The larger socket sizes have the same size magnet in them as the smaller ones and can have a little trouble holding the larger screws while positioning them to reinstall.

Have been a professional mechanic for 45 years. 20 years as an Aircraft Mechanic, A & P. 25 years maintaining equipment in the microchip manufacturing field, Field Service Engineer. This review is for the SAE nut runners, I also have the Metric nut runners (different review), and a pouch (also different review). Have used these for years at work, my home set was the short ones and missing some pieces, so bought these. They work great. Having the 6" length means not having to hunt down extensions. Love the color coding and the etching of the sizes. Makes it easy t0 ID the size I need. What is really nice about the marking is the SAE is different than the Metric.
