Calish 2 Way Garden Hose Splitter, Outdoor Utility Y Valve Hose Connector, Comfortable Rubberized Grip Faucet Adapter with 2 Connectors and 4 Rubber Washers

Great quality product and built solidly to last. Came complete with all that is needed, including 4 extra washers, two hose connectors and threaded size adaptor for a smaller threaded tap. Well packaged and prompt delivery. When I connected up to tap and turned on, it was leaking excessively at the top where it screwed on to tap. I unscrewed the two-way splitter and fitted an extra washer (supplied), reattached to the tap, and it was perfect with no leaks. Each of the two individual taps, one for each hose, are easy to turn on anmd off, and there are no leaks from them or anywhere.

On returning from my summer holiday, I was dismayed to find the usual devastation in my back garden - thirsty, dying plants (and that's with no heatwave). So I decided to put in an irrigation system for ease and regular, foolproof watering – which I‘ve been meaning to do for years! It’s great, but I also wanted the option to use my garden hose without disturbing it’s timer mechanism. This splitter works a treat. Both systems can work side by side. We control the two items by using the levers. (The main wall tap being set to a constant pressure that is suitable for both systems). It comes with extra washers to secure any leaks - I used a 2nd washer for this, and also used the tape supplied as added insurance. I hope the item is weatherproof and durable – and will update my review accordingly if not. On purchase, it appears to be very strong and of good quality. An easy solution!

Originally purchased back in August. It felt like a very sturdy and well made product which worked well. When the weather started to get a little colder I turned off the main outside tap and drained the splitter. However I thought it would be ok like this to leave outside... big mistake! I tried to use the splitter again last week as the weather has started to warm up again, but to my horror, water was spraying out all over the place. I contacted the supplier would advised that the unit should be disconnected from the outside tap, wiped over and stored away from the cold when not in use over winter. I thought this would be ok for leaving drained outside, but seems not. Great customer service from the supplier however who provided a free of charge replacement item.

See photo - I have two of these joined together and they're really good. Previous I had just one joined together with a brass fitting but over the winter the brass fitting shattered in the frost whereas the Calish splitter had no problems. So I have replaced the brass one with a second Calish one. As you can see, the taps have long handles on them which makes them really easy to operate compared with most similar splitters that have very short hard-to-turn taps on them. I think these are really sturdy, highly functional, and good looking. The fact that I've bought this second one after using the other one for some time now says it all I guess.

Was really pleased when I received this last summer - it feels really well made, the two levers are a joy to use. But have a look at the attached video for what you are potentially in for a few months down the line. The water is spraying out of one of the levers. I'm good at engineering solutions but cannot see a way to fix this. Even worse the big bold graphic proclaiming 1 year warranty right at the top of the sellers advert seems to be an empty promise; I cannot see a way to contact the seller or Amazon to arrange a return. I think this is my first really negative review on Amazon - very disappointing.

I was a little concerned about purchasing this item as I read the reviews and came across a 1* product rating stating that these were being sold as UK thread (3/4" BSP) and were actually American (3/4" NPT) I had previously bought one from ebay which in fact was an NPT thread (£5.49)and will not fit our British fittings properly. It was to my relief that when it arrived it was in fact a 3/4" BSP (UK) thread and not NPT. I have added photos so you can see for yourself that they are in fact the correct thread, at least the Calish ones are. These will fit all of our garden fittings on hoses, timers taps etc. Others have complained about them spinning but you need to fit the washer provided between the tap and fitting to stop this. The fact that it spins means that you can actually fit it at any angle and tighten in place which is more versatile than having it fixed in one position. All in all, very impressed with product and build quality.

Having bought a different style of splitter before with a solid brass body, which leaked from day one, I was worried this might do the same. I needne't have worried. This is really easy to fit to a standard screw-thread tap, with an adapter supplied for two different sizes of taps. Hoses connect using standard push-fit connectors. Best of all, the small lever that allow you to turn each hose on and off independently are great. The are easy to use, have a great quality feel to them - and don't leak! In other words. This splitter does what it says it does, and does it well at a great price. Recommended.

Further update Sept2018: Replacement arrived, but it was of the 4 splitter variety and again did not include the connectors or the washers (which were actually advertised with that). At this point I have given up and went and bought some others Update to original review below: following posting a 2 star Poor review I was contacted by the seller who apologised that there were missing items saying they would send a replacement item with all items included without the need to return the original. This is pleasing as the actual splitter is is good quality (in metal and therefore robust) and the taps work perfectly in stopping water when off - a plastic version I had bought from elsewhere did not do - therefore whilst my initial disappointment was unpleasant experience, assuming the replacement item arrives then I will be happy to change to a 4 star, as I have now [Original post against a 2 star rating]] Item did not include the 4 washers or the two connectors that are advertised to come with it. I will be complaining. I needed it urgently and paid half as much again to get next day delivery. A total waste.
