Seachem Safe Water Conditioner, 250 g

Always used prime and the stuff is great but seen this was a more concentrated version so it last sooooo much longer! I purchased a set of spice spoons to make the Mesurements accurate and easy peasy. I'm not going to take a star off as the product is really cheap for how long it lasts and does what it supposed to but my good god it f&%@£#g stinks lol.

Awesome product and perfect for my 200 litre tank. Measure out 0.2g, add it to a glass of water and add the water to the tank. This product will last me 24 years. Do me nicely. Word of warning though, be prepared for the smell.

Made the switch from prime to this for water changes etc. Very economical and no issues with aquariums

This thing stinks to high heaven, but it does what it's supposed to. I suggest putting it in a sealed "ziplock" type of bag to lock the smell in otherwise your entire house will smell. Tremendous value for money commpared to other dechlorinators.

I’ve been using seachem prime for years and never had any trouble with my 2 x 240l fresh water tanks, but it’s just got so expensive it’s hard to justify the cost. A bit of research shows this is now on the market, as far as I can see so far after a few uses, it’s exactly the same. And it’s one tenth of the price of the liquid prime. Use this product, can’t fault it!!

What to say about Safe. Be warned . ..it stinks..it is the sulfur in the powder....very very very eggy.... apart from that it is great value for money. It helps to purchase some jewelers scales to go with it so you can really take advantage of that value for money.... this powder is aimed at those with massive tanks but with those scales you can use this for as little as a 10litre water change ... I have made a review on the set of scales that I purchased for this very reason...

This product is meant for large tanks, and ponds but I purchased it for my water change buckets. The fact that I have to measure out between 0.02 - 0.05 of a gram for 5 gallons of water is tricky. It's not terribly hard mind you, plus it's going to last a very long time. Now to the downside of this product. If you thought Seachem Prime was stinky, you're in for a shock with Safe. It has a stench like none other. The sulphur smell filled my home as soon as I cracked the seal. It's kind of like onions and sulphur mixed, and it's very potent, (think of "The Big Of Eternal Stench". I closed the container tightly, but could still smell the eye watering odor escaping the bottle. I proceeded to put the bottle inside of a tall yogurt container, and wouldn't you know it, the stench was escaping that container as well. I may just have to store it out on my back porch, since the smell is escaping both the original container and the one I put it in. It's definitely concentrated and potent as can be. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent product, it just stinks to hight heaven. I do recommend it, and who knows, you just might get used to the smell! :-D

As compared to Seachem Prime it takes a LOT LESS to do almost the same thing. Just a pinch for 200 litres.. maybe even less. Seachem is expensive but it gets rid of heavy metals also this one doesn't. Overall best VFM dechlorinator in the market one can say.

As per the guidelines on the product packaging added less than 1/4th tea spoon to my 140 ltr fresh water aquarium tank so as to reduce the nitrate/nitrite and to balance the ammonia. This was done after water change and within few hours instead of the water settling the same turned out to be yellowish light brown in colour. I had to replace 50% water in my tank and after two days the tank water started getting clearer. had to wash my filter and add stability-good bacteria. fortunately none of the fish died.
