Earlier this year our family suffered a dreadful disaster. With winds as strong as I can remember, the children's play tent became unfastened from its moorings in our back garden and flipped and flopped before flying into the neighbour's garden. When the wind died down I asked the neighbour if I could have our tent back. He looked at me with cold and empty eyes and then put a fork in it. How cynical and cruel after all we'd been through. I dragged the tattered tent back into our garden and undertook a full health and safety check. It turned out the pegs supplied with the play tent were not fit for purpose. They were L shaped and lacked the distinctive hook of authentic tent pegs. This, I surmised, was the cause of the disaster which ultimately led my neighbour to an act of violence that still gives me nightmares. Fortunately, our children were in doors at the time this happened. Well, locked in the cellar to be honest. You see, we keep the children in the play tent and quite frankly don't want them untidying the house. And their bedroom had blown away and our neighbour had deliberately attempted to destroy it. With nightfall due in only a few hours and with our children potentially having nowhere to sleep, my wife lovingly darned the fork holes and brought the play tent/bedroom back to life and function. Being the man of the household, I did what I could and addressed the L shaped tent peg problem. After researching on Amazon I bought this 10pk of tent pegs for £1.62 including post and packaging which was a little on the steep side to be honest but you'll notice a distinctive hook finish to the end of each peg and I can report they work superbly. Of course the tent pegs took a whole 24 hours to arrive and so I put the children in the play tent in the back garden and weighed it all down with a skip (same-day hire) just in case the wind returned. As responsible parents, we forever think of our children's most urgent needs - and the cellar is quite damp. In summary, for all parents who keep their children in play tents in the back garden, these are the pegs to get. Five stars!

They look and fell strong, just arrived in time for camping trip

Delivery was really quick. We used these on our kids play tent which worked prefect as we had lost the original ones that came with it. We have one happy boy now and a happy father as price was so low

Arrived within 24 hours of purchase. Good quality and I was pleased that the function of them for what I wanted worked. Purchased to keep plastic boarder in garden in place.

Value for money, came packed well and on time. Used to secure turf stabilisers to sand and soil. Unfortunately some would bend very easily if the ground was a little hard. The ones that found soft ground went in well and secured the grids. I would buy again if i needed to secure into soft ground eg soil/grass.

Just the job! I wanted them for holding down fleece and cloches in the garden. They were cheap and delivered on time. One bag had split open, but all items were intact. Many thanks.

I use these on my allotments for pegging down protective netting/ fleece. They are ideal for this purpose as they do not tend to make holes in the netting /fleece, by using the top to hold it firmly in place without piercing. The items arrived promptly and in good order. I would certainly recommend these.

I hope they will be ok to use for tents. The packet that they came in said for gardening purposes and I just wondered if these pegs be ok to use. I have to wait and see if the pegs are strong enough and will hold the tent in place, especially if it is very windy or raining. For the price that I paid it was very good.

There are only 10 tent pegs per package not the 247 the description alludes to!
