Yale RFID Blocking Box - Blocks All Signals - Keep Keys Safe - Capacity For Up To 7 Keys - Prevents Attempts To Unlock Cars

We recently bought a new car and as we'd seen stories of criminals remotely accessing vehicles due to keyless entry and start systems we wanted to protect the keys when not in use. A friend recommended this box to us. It looks smart - almost leathery or carbon fibre-like in its appearance, but is actually more of a nulon-like material, or possibly just fancy paper, it's hard to tell. The box has an embossed Yale logo, and a metal catch to keep it closed. The interior is lined with a silver material, and has plenty of room inside for our two keyrings each of which has the car fob and lots of other keys attached, but could also store our mobile phones too. I saw some reports of boxes breaking or being split, but ours is fine and seems sturdy and durable enough - no signs of any damage, but as with everything you don't want to rough it around or be clumsy. We're very happy with this, and it's the sort of thing you could have on a table or keep in a cupboard if you don't want it to be on display.

Great size for two sets of keys. Nice quality feel. Stood by the car with keys in the box, car did not open, so guess it works fine. Appears to be a good product.

It looks good and works perfectly in securing all of our keys (we checked), but the clasp is flimsy and broke very quickly. My husband fixed it without much effort and it's now fine, but he really shouldn't have had to! Decent value nonetheless and good enough that we bought another as a gift for someone else.

Works as it should. We put the car keys in it, closed it and took it near the car. The car couldn't find the signal. It is also light enough to put on a wall with picture tabs.

The box looks quite nice and appears to be quite sturdy. However, I would prefer if it actually did what it was intended to. Firstly, I put my car keys which have an AirTag on them in the box and securely closed it. I checked on the app to find the keys which it detected straight away. I then moved further and further away and managed to get into the next room, approx. 8m away before it lost the signal. As soon as I walked back towards it, it picked the signal up again! Concerned about this, I thought I would get into the car and see whether the fob signal was being successfully blocked. Unsurprisingly, as soon as I pressed the start button, the vehicle started. I moved the box over to the passenger seat and tried again, successfully starting the engine. I then put the box on the backseat and tried again, which also successfully started the engine. It was only when I took the box out of the vehicle and closed the door, that it failed to start the engine, but it also does that with the key on its own, so no difference to normal. I am very disappointed with the performance of this product, especially as it is sold by a well known security company. I would not recommend this to anyone that is hoping to protect their vehicle keys from security savvy and determined thieves.

Product, does what it says on the box! Very effective in blocking signals and it doesn’t cost the earth, Looks smart enough to leave on the side and it’s large enough for a few bunches of keys in it at once.
