My favorite Italian candy, this is the hard kind
My childhood favorite memories, reminds these are the hard candy not to be confused with the soft, you have to choose between which one you prefer and or what your teeth can tolerate be prepared

chemical taste - hard as a brick - seriously DON'T BUY THIS
I love torrone candy, and nougat in general. I decided to try this brand, and bought both this and a soft nougat with hazelnuts. I tried hazelnut first and didn't like the taste very much, it had a chemical aftertaste, and I thought maybe it was the hazelnuts, because I had only had torrone with almonds in the past? Maybe the hazelnuts created a weird amalgam of nastiness when coupled with the nougat? So I tried this hard nougat with almonds; First off it is so hard that I could only cut it with a large serrated bread knife (which splinters it into shards) It won't even break if you hit it on the edge of the counter, or with a hammer. I don't get how they believe people can cut and serve this. And seriously, what's with HARD NOUGAT anyway? Isn't the best part of nougat the chewy creaminess? Why does it have the consistency of a cinderblock? When I finally manages to chip off a few shards I got to the taste; it has a worse chemical taste than the soft hazelnut. It tastes like gasoline smells. The use-by date is 2025, so it can't be that it's stale. So what do they expect people to do with this tooth-chipping monstrosity? And even it it CAN be eaten, why would I want a mouth full of gasoline fumes? DISGUSTING! I won't ever buy this brand again.

Nougat
I wasn't expecting such a hard bite from a nougat. While I hope it wasn't old or stale, the fact that it was a hard chew and breaking off a piece was in quite difficult. I was looking for a cross between hard and soft. The soft variety are too soft yet delicious.

Too hard to chew or enjoy
The candy was terrible. So hard a knife could not cut it. A total waste of money and I gave one bar away as a gift How embarrassing The one star was a gift
