Managing the water quality is easier with this faux moss ball. At first glance, it looks like a natural marimo moss ball, which allows it to blend seamlessly into a planted or rocky aqua-terrarium setup. However, it is important to note that this is an artificial product constructed from a textured material with a special absorption resin core. The primary purpose of the resin core is to trap phosphate, nitrite, and nitrate. In a standard ten-to-twenty-gallon tank (thirty to sixty liters), this mechanical assistance is highly effective. Within a few days of placing the ball in the water, there is a noticeable improvement in overall water clarity. It makes routine maintenance much easier by extending the time between deep cleans. It remains effective for up to two months, after which it should be replaced. For larger enclosures, you will need to utilize multiple moss balls simultaneously to achieve the desired results.
