Case Logic SLRC205 SLR Slingbag S Camera backpack with adjustable shoulder strap (for SLR) black / orange

I have a super-zoom bridge, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-EZ62. I absolutely love it. I have a specifically designed case for it – great, but it only takes the camera and a couple of spare cards. I wanted a bag that would take camera and all the other things that I might want to hand on a half day ramble. A comfortable bag that wouldn't mean I had to take a pack off my back every time I wanted access to things. With a stabilising waist strap as well. There aren't too many bags fulfilling all these criteria on the market! Some are too fat. Some are too flimsy. Some are clearly not comfortable. So I was absolutely delighted when I came across this bag (came across! – I'd searched and searched!), and I ordered it from a well-known online supplier. I couldn't wait to test drive it, was delighted when it came the day before the earliest date forecast, especially as I had a walk planned for the next day – and I haven't been disappointed. With its wide shoulder strap it spreads the load beautifully. Get the straps sorted (and you need some patience and ingenuity the first time or two!) you have a stable and comfortable back pack. OK it's not quite as good as the very best two-shoulder-strap bags, but it's pretty good, and it's not going to have heavy loads. After a morning's walk I was well content. It's capacious but not too. Here's what I got into it (have fun organising your own things!): - larger main compartment: camera on the hammock, and underneath it a small pair of binoculars. Space still for a small wrap of sandwiches if wished; - other main compartment: 50 cl water bottle, 7-inch tablet if I'd wished (I didn't), floppy hat, still more space for snack; - small side compartment: small smartphone (wouldn't take bigger than 4.5 inch one), comb; and the little pockets for extra cards/battery are still available; - front very secure flap : purse/wallet; - strap pocket intended for lens cap (mine's attached): tissues and lip salve; - device intended for tripod: OS map and fleece/shirt. There remains just the question of what if it rains, already raised by others, for Case Logic to solve. I'll have to Heath Robinson it. Other than that I'm absolutely thrilled. Perhaps some manufacturer will now take the hint and make a sound, comfortable sling bag, with rain cover, specifically for light hiking use…

If this was for myself it would have 5 stars. It's an awesome design, extremely compact, fits really snug, and is just what one needs for lugging a single DSLR around, with room for one extra lens, and spare batteries, filters and memory cards etc. Unfortunately I bought it for my girlfriend. It's claimed to be unisex, but she found the cross strap uncomfortable on the chest. She's 5'3" and quite petite and found it bulky, and it hung uncomfortably on her back, so it's not very suitable for anyone less than a certain size.

Arrived this morning to some fanfare and in the few short hours i've had it i've learned it takes easily my Nikon SLR, spare lenses, filters, 4 spare batteries, my cellphone, and even a catch to slide my tripod into. Honestly, i couldn't be happier and would recommend this to anyone seeking the perfect camera bag. You wear it as an over the shoulder type affair that allows you to quickly spin it round your body giving you quick easy instant access to the main camera pouch. The material is rip-stop poly-nylon mix which means it's good to put off any potential pickpockets who have their eye on your bag, this bag wouldn't allow them to slice it and the zips are the type that make you aware when someone is opening them. This is the 6th bag i've owned, and will be my last for quite some time I think. This bag has everything going for it, totally recommended. After a couple of months usage now, I would like to add that IF Case Logic wanted to make it the ultimate camera bag then one small addition I feel is missing that should be added as a point of necessity. I believe a 'Pac-Safe' style inner wire mesh, sewn into the the lining would make it almost total impossible for anyone behind you to use a box cutter/scalpel type knife to relieve you of your valuable camera. I would be more than happy to pay an additional fee for a new upgraded bag that has this type of mesh sewn into it's lining. I bought 3 Pac-Safe meshes for the 3 main compartments of the bag and I have to admit to it look a little messy inside but at least my camera's etc are safe from the dreaded bag slashers. I did try the mesh on the exteriors but they just kept on pulling on everything, this is why I go to thinking perhaps Case-Logic could sew it into the linings, in fact, straight after this revised review I'm gonna email Case-Logic directly. All of this aside, I would still recommend this bag to everyone in photography, it really is almost THE perfect bag.

LOVE this bag!! I am only 5ft 4 and it fits well. Easily adjustable and swings round smoothly. Holds the camera comfortably and safely with an adjustable hammock. Plenty of room in the big side pocket for extras, I've put my purse, sunglasses and a bottle of water in with room to spare. Smaller side pocket holds 2 spare batteries and memory cards with extra room and there is a secure zipped pocket under the tripod flap (which I use to hold a spare jumper). Feels very lightweight, zips run smoothly, camera pulls out of hammock easily. Great bag at a great price.

Think carefully about how much you want to put into this before you buy it, because it is VERY small. You have essentially 2 compartments which are usable for main camera gear (lenses, camera, charger etc.) and a couple of other ones which are ok for memory cards, lens caps and maybe batteries (at a stretch) but you will NOT fit any more than a camera (with lens attached) and an additional zoom lens in this (plus memory cards and small things). I don't know why, but I was expecting to have room to comfortably house camera plus 3 lenses and charger etc. I have a Vangard BIIN 37 right now, and it's a great bag, looks tiny, but in reality it has MUCH more usable space than this. I'm returning this immediately and replacing it with the Vanguard Up-Rise 43. With regards to quality however, the bag seems decent, due to the size of the strap I imagine it is fairly comfortable but I won't be testing it. The side opening for removing your camera however is nowhere near as good as those on Vanguard sling bags, which have a large string which links 2 parallel zips so you can open them both simultaneously. The velcro things to keep extra strap out of the way is a nice touch. Update. I have now received the Vanguard Up-Rise 43 and I can say that it is a fantastic bag, much like my previous BIIN 37. If you have a smaller DSLR and couple of lenses, I strongly suggest buying the Vanguard over this. I fit camera plus kit lens, another much larger tele lens, charger, lens dust blower, etc etc all in the bottom of the bag and still have the top half free for my own stuff (wallet, phone, etc.)... plus it looks great.

The main compartment is plenty large enough for a DSLR. I use a bridge camera so have a lot of space for extras. There is also a sizeable side compartment which takes an average size (500ml) water bottle for when you are out and about. Spare batteries and memory cards are catered for too! The sling system is comfortable and the extra front strap keeps the bag in place when moving around; especially when bending down. It has a very handy tripod carrier although probably for a travel tripod rather than a full size model! All in all the Case Logic Sling Bag is of excellent quality and a reasonable price.

This seemed to fit the bill for my camera kit: Canon 600D, 28-135 zoom lens, 10-22 zoom and 70-300 zoom. In reality, I carry the larger lens separately or place it on the camera and have one of the other lens in the side pocket and leave the other behind or carry that in another bag. Also able to pack a polarising filter, couple of step up rings, spare battery, spare memory card and lens brush. Care needed? As someone else has pointed out, be careful if changing lens and putting one in the section that the camera goes into as you swing the bag round to your front. Zip up as quickly as possible! I didn't and my 28-135 fell out and bounced on the steps of the Realto Bridge! May look for a larger one but like this for it's style and materials. Very well made and well designed.......other than the problem highlighted.

I recently went on honeymoon to California and wanted a bag for my DSLR Nikon that would also fit an extra lens and a small quick shoot camera. This bag was perfect! Its really comfortable to wear, easy to access the camera and other compartments, and because it fits across your body it doesn't get in the way. On some days I also took a tripod which I was able to wrap on to the holder using the large velcro strap, despite the extra weight it was still very comfortable to wear. For me this is a perfect camera companion.

海外旅行を機会に適当なカメラバックと想い購入しました。 恐らくカメラバックを購入する際に一番気になるのは収納力だと思います。 以下の内容でピッタリ収まる程度です。 ・EOS-KISS-X5本体 ・EF-S18-55mm F3.5-5.6 IS II ・EF-S55-250mm F4-5.6 IS II ・SIGMA 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG MACRO ・ブロアー、クロス ・SDカード4枚 ・予備バッテリー2個 一番外側のポケットはパスポートが余裕で入るサイズです。 厚みはありませんので、厚さもパスポートサイズが適当と思われます。 上記を入れた場合、長財布や携帯などを入れるには少々きついのでレンズを1つ減らせばこのバック1つで出かけられます。 見た目も嫁に聞いた感想では所謂カメラバックには見えないとの事でした。 注意点としてはnikon4D、canon1Dのような大型サイズはカメラ収納部分のマジックテープを外さないと入りませんのし、レンズ装着のまま収納は出来ません。 よって大型カメラも併用するような方には向かないかもしれません。 ※私は首に裸で1Dを下げ、バックにKISSを入れて移動していました。 バック自体の素材も良く肩部分や、特に背中部分がメッシュになっているため長時間移動で汗をかいた場合などでも心配ありません。 ※ハワイの日差しの中10時間ほど背負ったままで汗だくでしたが表面は直ぐに乾きカメラに影響ありませんでした。 CPが良い商品ですのでおすすめです。 主観ですが、参考になれば幸いです。

Der Kauf hat sich rentiert. Hab eine Fototasche gesúcht, wo ich Kamera - mit bereits angeschraubten Lieblingsobjektiv 75-300 - problemlos reinstecken kann. Das geht da super - der Dämpfschutz ist auch toll. Super finde ich das orange Innenfutter: Deckel findet man sofort. Handbüchlein hat super Platz, 2. Objektiv auch, Fach für Speicherkarten - super. Das Positivste für mich: die Tasche bequem am Rücken tragen zu können und sie um den Bauch zu schnallen - es schlenkert nix. Ist bei mir super wichtig, denn ich brauche freie Hände, da ich mit 3 Hunden unterwegs bin. Da muss ich mich schnell bücken um die Hunde an- oder abzuleinen und die Tasche bleibt wo sie ist. Habe vorher Umhängetaschen gehabt, die knallen beim Bücken dann auf den Boden, die Leinen schlagen dagegen...ein stressiges Gewurschtel halt. So habe ich die kamera sofort rausgeholt ( auch wichtig bei Schnappschüssen die ich von den Hunden mache), den abeschraubten Deckel kann man blitzschnell ind das dafür geeignet Seitentäschen geben ( habe schon mehrmals die Deckel verloren), der Tasche gibt man einen Schubs nach hinten und schon kann man frei fotografieren. Für "meine Situation" sehr empfehlenswert.

Being relatively new to photography one of the first things on my must-buy list was a good camera bag. Not having a ton of equipment yet, and wanting to travel as light as possible, I knew I'd probably want a sling. Because I enjoy having my camera with me as often as possible and enjoy photojournalism, I wanted the ability to carry my camera and other items but not be weighed down. This bag is as close to perfect as I think I could have found, especially for the price! Not only am I able to easily carry what I need, but even better - I'm able to quickly and easily access my camera and anything else quickly and easily! Pros *Comfortable and VERY light-weight! It's the middle of the summer right now and I've carried this bag for hours in the middle of the day in 90 degree weather. Obviously, it IS a bag sitting on my back, so of course it's warmer than not wearing a bag, but it's much more comfortable and lightweight than any other bag I've ever used. *Holds A LOT of stuff! I carry my Canon DSLR with the 18-55 kit lens, a 50mm lens, shutter release cable, 4 macro filters, cleaning supplies, and a small hand towel. I'm sure I could easily fit another prime lens or 2 or a telephoto. In addition, I'm able to carry my HTC Incredible (about the size of an iPhone), my license, money, chapstick, etc. *Everything is easily accessible! I haven't used the waist strap yet (but probably will when I go hiking) so I'm not sure if this changes anything, but EVERYTHING is very easy to get to! I simply slide the bag in front of me and I can access everything. Two features that I especially want to highlight: 1) When the bag is on, the small pocket that I use to hold my ID and money is right next to my hip. This makes it VERY easy to access these items. I don't have to hardly move the bag at all and I can access this pocket. I LOVE that I'm able to get to my ID and money this quickly. 2) I really like the hammock that the camera sits in. It seems perfectly constructed and I love that no matter what lens is attached I'm able to easily put the camera back in the bag and not have to worry about how it's sitting in there. I also like the fact that it's very easy to unclip the bag and take it off that way for fast access to the whole bag. (Really nice when going through security checkpoints!) *Construction is quality! The bag looks and feels as though it was made with care. Quality materials, good construction, seemingly durable. Also, unless someone is familiar with camera equipment, bags, etc, I don't think it's at all obvious what's inside the bag. Cons *My biggest gripe is that the large side pocket has no dividers. Permanent dividers, or dividers we could move as we see fit, would be great. Even some sort of little pouches in the big compartment (similar to those in the smaller compartment that holds memory cards, batteries, etc.) would be wonderful. Instead, this large compartment is just one big area and my things just kind of float around in there. *The front pocket, where I put my phone and cloth is VERY tight. This may loosen over time, but a smidgeon more room in there would have been nice. The bag is already so compact that a little bigger of an area there would have been nice. All in all, not much to complain about with this bag. If a main priority for you is traveling light, this bag is GREAT. I recognize that if I'm going to do a shoot where I need a lot of different lenses and accessories this bag won't be enough, but for walkabouts and simple shoots, this bag is GREAT! I especially like that it doesn't seem to get in my way while I'm shooting. It stays in place on my back, doesn't slide around, or get in the way. Lightweight, travels well, stays secure, but holds A LOT more than you would think!

Produit d’excellente facture comme tous ceux de la marque. Vraiment pratique pour se balader avec un reflex + un 2ème cailloux (testé avec un 70/300) ou un flash (testé avec un Nikon SB-600). Des poches supplémentaires pour divers accessoires et un système pratique pour trimballer un (petit/moyen) trépied. D'autre trouvailles astucieuses comme la suspension en néoprène pour éviter que l'appareil touche le fond ou encore les velcro pour enrouler le rab de cordons. Pour finir, le confort est parfait.
