Great product.

I got these to double check areas that I suspect to have mold. I love that the kit comes with everything needed to safely test the areas you need to test. Gloves, swabs, labels, the mold identification booklet AND a free photo lab analysis by submitting your photos. This was one of the better kits I found due to it being easy to use due to the detailed instructions and a great price for the amount of petri dishes and collection materials you get.

The good news is that this kit does exactly what it is for, the bad news is you may not like what you find! I'm going to go clean my house from top to bottom now!

I didn’t use the swabs. I opened the dishes and let them sit for 3 days in a cool dark drawer. They showed me what room has the mold and what type of. Did what it said it would.

I bought these because they looked like the perfect size for my collecting. I like to collect toenail and finger nail clippings. These allow people to veiw them with me having to worry about my friend snatching some out to eat when my back is turned. I handed a couple of them out to friends and family because I also collect a select few of others clippings. The only down side was I wish the lid held on better but it was easily fixed with clear wrapping tape.

This review goes along with the one for the logbook. My nephew had a school science experiment, of his choice, to complete in 30 days. He decided he would test surfaces and see just how dirty they were. Well, wasn't he surprised to see all that stuff growing from the agar I poured in the dishes? Stuff he swabbed from the counter, light switches, floor (in varying places), doorknobs, and even the toilet seat! They hold up nicely, as he is a little clumsy and dropped a couple, none broke. It might have affected the outcome of the experiment, though. But it was only 2, I believe. The value is great, getting 10 in one go. I was concerned when I bought them about the lid-locking, and most did. The ones that didn't, we taped shut. The experiment was a partial success as it didn't get him to wash his hands more often, but the teacher was impressed.

I bought these for my sons science project. These worked fine for his use, but note that they are not sterile which was not an issue for his project. We had no broken one. Also note the two halves are a very loose fit so would not be suitable for experiments requiring a closed space.

Did the job!

Good Petri dishes. 10 dish were in a sterile sealed bag. I only poured 9 because I never made enough agar but I got no contamination while pouring inside a SAB. Would love to be able to order in bulk.

I really do wish they would stop using camera angles to enhance their product.
