Can this be played with 2 players?

Yes. The main difference between 2 and 3/4 players is that that each player rolls their dice twice each each turn. I have played it two player once, and it was not that interesting compared to the 3 or 4 player version. There is limited interaction between players in this game, and with only two players, even that is drastically reduced. The dice that affect other players have only one target and there is much less competition for tiles and cards. I would not recommend this if you were getting it solely to as a 2 player experience.

Is this game 2-4 players or 2-6 players?

It's actually 2-4 given it has only 4 player boards.

Are the dice good quality? Do they seem like they will last? I’m hesitant to pull the trigger on this, even though the reviews look amazing!

They are a tiny bit fragile perhaps. The first time we played one of the dice chipped. I contacted asmodee and they immediately sent me another free of charge. Honestly I would not worry about it too much. Just don’t go crazy and throw them super hard and you will be fine.

Are the exchangeable dice sides plastic or cardboard?

They are durable plastic and my kids under 11 play it all the time. I find it easiest to remove the pieces with the key looking paint can opener. we've had it for over a year and it has seen lots of use. Good luck and happy gaming to all.
