I’m not a vegan by any means, actually almost the opposite. But anytime I can replace a seasoning with something healthy, I’ll do it. This stuff is advertised as having a buttery and cheesy flavor, and it definitely smells delicious. Has a very buttery and slightly cheesy smell, I’m sure it would be delicious on popcorn. The flavor is more subtle though, I was expecting a flavor punch. This is more of a flavor nudge. To me, anyway. I haven’t used it for popcorn personally, I add it to soups to give them a little more flavor, and a lot more nutrients. This has a decent amount of fiber and a lot of protein. So I use it as more of a nutritional supplement, and the seasoning is secondary. This also has a lot of potassium and not very much sodium, so it’s good for keeping those electrolyte ratios in line as well, especially if you’re adding it to something that already has a decent amount of salt in it like I am. I specifically wanted an unfortified version of nutritional yeast since I already take all my vitamin and mineral supplements separately, and I wanted to be able to add as much of this as I wanted to for extra flavor and the protein/fiber, so this ended up being perfect for me. The texture of this is more like small flakes than a powder, kinda like a flaky fish food. So it probably won’t work in a normal salt shaker. You’d need one with larger holes if you wanted to use it in a shaker, like one for chili flakes. Also very important to me for any of these things that come in a resealable bag - the one they use for this is great. Reseals easily to keep fresh with no issues. So you don’t have to worry about putting it into a different container like some of these other companies that use really cheap bags that never reseal.

I love that the protein content is really high in this 'nooch' as it's sometimes called, because I'd gotten a batch from another brand that had way less fiber and protein. Hadn't known it could vary, before. This has 8 grams complete protein in 3 small scoops, and it comes with a scooper in it. Has a nice re-sealable bag that stands upright. And the taste is excellent! So easy to add to so many dishes, and it adds a nice complex flavor that goes with so many foods. The texture is nice, a kind of larger flake, which I think is considered desirable. Also, I compared all similar products for price per ounce, and this one is a winner. So, great quality at a great price.

I have tried different brands of nutritional yeast and this is by far the best that I have tried. I think it's really good value for money as well. You get 2 lbs. and it lasts a really long time. I have bought this exact product multiple times and it is just awesome. It goes with so many things. We put it on popcorn. We put it in vegan mac and cheese, basically anything cheesy. I put it in hummus, I put it in scrambled tofu, I put it in cheese sauces and spreads, and it goes in baked goods, for example cheesy scones. Any kind of cheesy pasta, put it in there and it's just so versatile. It tastes really good and I think for how long it lasts and how much you get, I think this is good value for money. I love that it's a healthy way as a vegan to get that cheesy taste. For all the times that I've had it, it has been consistently good and I definitely recommend it. It's pretty much a pantry staple for me at this point even though I keep it in my fridge just to be safe because where I live it's hot and I'm just not risking anything. Picture of a meal for attention. Ignore the spoon there but that's some mac and cheese, salad, potato salad, fried rice, and General Tso's tofu. Five stars from me!

Doesn’t taste quite as good as nutritional yeast that has chemical vitamin B additives. But it’s definitely healthier and I believe the organic totally outweigh the chemicals you get in other cheap yeast flakes. If you’re looking for health benefits in a healthy way, I highly recommend this product. It’s worth the money. And my dog likes it too.

Love using this product it does give the taste and consistance of cheese to what food you place it on. And is alot better than using Fortified nutritional yeast.

I decided to try this as an alternative to another popular brand that I had been using for a few years. This bag is larger and less expensive than the other, but it is comparable nutritionally and I found the taste just as pleasant, if not more. It's kind of sweet and buttery. While most people add this as a condiment to their meals, I just eat it by the spoonful. Hopefully this is not a temporary find but will stick around as a permanent replacement for me.

One of my favorite product brands for supplements and healthy powders (flakes in this case))). Excellent source of vitamin B6 and adds a mildly cheesy flavor to foods. Delicate so Google how to use it with anything. Good stuff! Great versatility, ease of use and digest ability. Thank you!

Product has large flakes and full of cheesy goodness. Easy to use in most any recipe. Resealable bag keeps product dry and moisture - free, but I prefer to put into two- 1 pound jars for convenience. Also comes with a scoop for easy measuring. I like the fact it is organic, can be used as a dry addition to popcorn or rice, or added to soups and dishes like pizza. Will buy again.
