Small tool that packs quite a punch
I've never been much of a fan of this style of knife sharpener. It's much smaller than I expected but does a great job and produces a nice sharp edge with minimal effort. I've sharpened both of my Victorinox knives that had become dull, and they're cutting like new again. Very pleased. This is a more expensive tool but the results speak for themselves. Time will tell how much use this sharpener will sustain before losing it's effectiveness.

Excellent is not the word…
Epic is.Got this today and tested it out on my very old Leatherman blade. First things first it is tiny, for some reason the photos make it look bigger, but great things often come in tiny packages. Back to my Leatherman, it is well over two decades old and has been abused over the years. I’ve used it in the garden, I’ve used it to score plexiglass, you name it and I’ve probably done it, to it. To say the blade edge was dull is an overstatement however I can’t use the language that adequately describes it on here as it would consist of profanities. Just FIVE strokes of this little sharpener has given a brilliant new edge to my Leatherman. Admittedly it’s not factory sharp but it cleanly cuts once again which is an epic improvement. I also have a mini meat cleaver in my kitchen that I predominantly use in food prep and I have just given it a few swipes with this and the chopper is gloriously sharp. I’m so impressed I am going to purchase a second one purely for my kitchen knives whilst this one will stay with my utility/garden knives. Five stars all the way. Highly recommended. Tomorrow my Victorinox blades shall be done.

A compact, stop-gap, pull-sharpener.
This is more about portability; larger sharpener tools probably better, often including polishing ceramics too, to get rid of burrs and other imperfections. If the metal plates are carbide, then a blade should probably only be drawn 3 to 4 times across it, with finishing done using abrasive ceramic sharpening tools. That was the advice provided with my larger Lansky Sharpener.

Best pull through sharpener I’ve tried
The easiest way I’ve come across to get a razor sharp edge on a Swiss Army knife. Had much better luck with this over their pen shaped one, which I’m sure is good if you know what you’re doing! The beauty with this one is the ease of use. A few gentle strokes along the blade to hone the edge, or use more pressure if the edge is knackered followed by some gentle strokes to finish. The resulting edge is sharp enough to shave the hair on my arm. Zero skill required! It’s small so only really suited to pocket knives and I haven’t tried it on anything harder than victorinox stainless steel but for that purpose at least, it’s perfect.

Tiny but very effective
A quick and simple way to re-sharpen smaller knives. This device is very small and so easy to store either in a drawer or, using the ring at its end, on a hook.Unlike a conventional steel or whetstone this requires no skill and a few swipes in the sharpener's V-shaped slot along the knife's edge are all that is needed to restore sharpness.I would have liked more guidance on how to ensure the edge is properly finished rather just sharp, but otherwise a perfect little implement.

Great
This is great. I was very skeptical that this would work, having had a bad experience with the other VIctorinox brand sharpener, the one that looks like a pen. It messed up one knife and I had very limited success with other knives. I decided to give this a go. Simple instructions: draw the sharpener along the edge with pressure several times, then with very light pressure a few more times to finish the edge. It works! You can see the little metal filings on the table. The other sharpener has ceramic or some other material for the sharpening edge, which doesn't work; this one has hardened metal edges which remove material from the stainless steel SAK to make it sharp. Works really well. I'm pleased with it. Be sure to read the simple instructions on the back of the hang card that it comes with.

Much smaller than expected
Does what it needs to do, but about a third of the size I thought it was going to be! What looks like a grip that you can get your hand in - isn't. The thing is tiny.
User
Great, easy to use sharpener.
Easy to run over the knives edges and massively improves the cutting edge of all the knives.
User
Très efficace
Bien que très petit, facile à mettre en poche, cet affûteur est très efficace.
User
Very helpful comes in small package👍
The most useful sharpener to have when travelling with a Victorinox SAK...you never know when your knife is going dull, with a few heavy strokes and a few light strokes you have a sharp knife at no time🫡Size is small and its light you would even forget that you brought it along🤦♂️Recommended and worth the money!

It is small but that is what I wanted
This is primarily a pocket knife edge keeper. I have a Work Sharp to renew many of my blades and I use this for those in-between touch ups. It's just easier than going through the steps of the Work Sharp. This small sharpener does remove more steel so easy softer strokes are the way to go. I use this small sharpener for all my chef knives through my swiss army knives. Some stated that they don't feel safe using this sharpener. The sharpener has a guard to prevent accidental finger damage or I don't quite understand why the hesitation. I have never had a problem with this sharpener. Actually, I have two of them because they are small are can easily be misplaced. This little sharpener will not put the same edge on as a belt sharpener but it will get your knife to pass the paper cutting test and if used correctly, will get your knife to shave your arm hair. So, it's a keeper for me.
