Perfectly cooked rice every time
I have purchased this rice a few times now. Can't fault it. Cooks perfectly every time and I prefer this to a number of other brands bought from the supermarket. I cook mine in the Joseph Joseph microwave rice cooker for 9 minutes and leave to stand for 5 minutes. The rice never sticks, has a really nice scent to it and it is reassuring to know that after cooking this rice many many times, that I can depend on the results every time. Update: have just received my latest order of the 5 packs of rice today, 22/08/2025 and the best before date is the 16/10/2025. So I have just under 8 weeks shelf life for 2500gs of rice! I will never get through all that in time. This has made me think twice about ordering it again. Very disappointing as the rice itself is good but not impressed about the shelf life. My current 1kg bag is dated April 2026, so where on earth was this set dug out from?!

I bought this Amazon Basmati Rice (1kg) for £1.65 and overall it does the job well for everyday meals. The pack is handy with a resealable tab, which helps keep it fresh after opening. It cooks up quite fluffy and has a nice aroma, as you’d expect from basmati rice. It also works well for vegetarian and vegan dishes, which is a plus. The portion size is decent, with around 16 servings, so it lasts a while. Good value for the price, nothing fancy but solid and reliable.
