Why won’t my moss pole stand upright?

Choose a moss pole that suits your plant’s size for the best support. Push the base deep into the soil and pack it tightly. Wrap jute twine around the base to add thickness. If needed, insert a small foam piece at the base to improve stability.

Why does my moss pole smell when watered?

Natural forest moss has an earthy scent that intensifies when wet. If you're sensitive, limit watering, use tea tree oil to reduce odors, and keep it in a well-ventilated area. Let it air out for a few days before placing it in an enclosed space.

What plants are suitable for large moss poles ?

Monstera deliciosa, Philodendron verrucosum, Philodendron spiritus-sancti, Anthurium regale, Anthurium warocqueanum, Epipremnum pinnatum, Rhaphidophora decursiva, Rhaphidophora tetrasperma, Cissus discolor, Syngonium macrophyllum,...

What should I do if unusual surface growth appears on my moss pole?

This can happen if it stays too damp or airflow is poor. Remove affected areas, dry them well, reduce watering, and ensure good ventilation. You can also spray diluted cinnamon or vinegar.

How often should you water the moss?

It depends on your plant—some grow better with moist moss, others just need support. As it’s natural forest moss, it may have a distinct scent; if you’re sensitive to smells, water less or keep in a well-ventilated spot.
