When I received the safe it was really well packed. In all 8 corners they used metal corner pieces and then it was incased in styrofoam and a plastic bag. This is a really good size safe and I can fit my wife's and I valuable jewelry, passports, social security cards, and my gun with many boxes of ammo with room to spare. The drop box is a nice feature being able to just drop in cash or paperwork. It's a really heavy duty safe with 3 massive steel rods that keep the door locked and I wanted something fireproof. You can bolt it to the floor and wall and I can't imagine a thief getting into this thing. For the price. I'm really pleased with this safe.
