Addis 2.5L Compost Caddy - White & Metallic

This compost caddy looks very stylish on the kitchen counter. The white and metallic finish gives it a clean, modern look, so it blends nicely with other kitchen items rather than looking like a typical food waste bin. The 2.5L size is ideal for everyday kitchen use. It holds a good amount of food scraps from cooking and prep, but it’s not so large that waste sits around for days, which helps keep things fresher. A really useful feature is that the inner basket lifts out, so you can easily wash it if needed. This is especially handy if you don’t want to use compostable caddy liners all the time. It feels sturdy and well made, and the handle makes it easy to carry around if needed. Overall, it’s a practical, well-designed compost caddy that also looks great on the kitchen counter.

Like a lot of you, I ordered this for our food waste service which is due to start in my area in October. I wanted a bin that would go in the dishwasher, but was still wide enough to scrape a plate or chopping board into. I also wanted it to be pleasant to look at as I'm very proud of my kitchen ! Being smaller than many, it will encourage me to empty & wash it frequently too. After researching the Amazon online reviews I can see loads of you are having trouble getting the inner liner out. Watch my video to see how to do it. (With the lid in an upright position, rock it sideways & remove- you can remove the inner liner with ease. ) Stripping it down like this will help you get the whole thing in your dishwasher or improve your hand washing access to any fiddly bits.

I love the overall design and appearance of this white caddy. It’s quite small at 2l but more than big enough for my household. Easy to keep clean with a lift out inner ‘bucket’ (grey). The inner bucket sits snugly inside the caddy and this holds the liner bag in place securely. So what’s the catch? Quite literally the hinge for the lid. That’s the catch. It sits on the inner bucket and clicks the bucket into place when you replace it after emptying. The hinge makes it very fiddly to get the inner bucket out. I have to prise it out from under the hinge. I know it doesn’t look like much but it’s difficult because there’s nothing to grip and very annoying. I imagine that it could be an issue if you had impaired mobility in your hands. But then perhaps it’s just me! I’ll persevere with it for time being because I don’t want to waste money on buying another. But I can see that at some time in the future I’ll either get fed up with nearly ripping out my (very short) nails every day or the hinge will snap. It’s just a question of who snaps first. Me or the hinge. Minus 1 ⭐️ because of the hinge.

Looks good, lid fits well so no smells if skins, peelings etc are in there for a few days and all so easy to clean. This is my2nd purchase. Unfortunately my first( 3years old) was dropped on a garden path and the outer casing cracked. I liked it so much i have bought a 2nd

Nice size just what I was wanting. Looks very smart on the counter top. You have to squeeze the inner tub to get it out which can be a little tricky sometimes.

This bin is amazing, it sits in the kitchen out of the way yet it's easy to grab to put my veggie scraps and tea bags in. If you don't have much food waste then this is a great size. 10l bags fit nicely in it. The lid pulls off so you can get the basket out of you need to clean it. You can either have the lid at a 90° angle or pushed right back. This bin really made my day when it arrived

Does the job it was intended for

Very nice and not to big and bulky, it looks nice too

Fijn GFT bakje voor eenpersoons huishouden. Pluspunt dat alle onderdelen in de vaatwasser kunnen.

Like this a lot. Looks great. Easy to clean.

Genial de calidad de materiales y de tamaño y de forma de limpiarlo super práctico!!!

The Addis Compost Caddy is great. I use one for chook scraps and one for scraps for the compost bin. They are very easy to keep clean & being plastic won't rust over time unlike other metal compost bins. The only thing I would add is that it would be great if they came in a slightly bigger size.

Genial lo que buscava
