Fuel tool mc-400 worked for 2012 heritage softail
Worked good for my 2012 heritage softail. I would buy the kit with extra hooks. I did accidentally bend the long hook. Pushed a little to hard. Was able to bend it back and complete the job. Putting everything back together was smooth. Just make sure you get all of the old gasket out mine was old and came out piece by piece. If you don't it won't work. Save yourself some time and frustration. Just buy the tool.

Quality tool, but O-rings must be pliable, not carbonized
Even though it didn't remove my carbonized O-rings, it wasn't designed to. I'm keeping it. I purchased this tool after reading GR8 reviews with a few that were questionable, which is expected with any end user tool. My bike, a 2009 Softail Deluxe with less than 7k miles on it developed a fuel leak at the tank check valve. The O-rings hadn't just started leaking, they had carbonized rendering the fuel tool unable serve it's purpose. I'll just put it in a drawer in my tool chest, maybe to help a buddy save shop labor at some point in time. One use of this tool will more than recover it's cost. "Better to have tool and not need rather than need and don't have"

Works Well but Expensive
This tool does exactly what itโs designed for and makes the repair much easier. The quality is good, but it is on the pricey side for a specialty tool. Still, if you need it, itโs a reliable option to get the job done right.

After emailing company, I changed my rating to a 5 Star.
Iโd give it 5 stars, but the longer hook (B) wasnโt long enough for Tool (B). Not a big issue, just straighten the end that fits into the slot and it works just fine. Not sure how Fuel Tool missed this. Other than that, it is extremely easy and fixed my issue with fuel spraying everywhere from the old O rings. I keep it in my road kit just in case one of my buddies or someone on the road runs into the same problem. I emailed and received an email back from Mike at FuelTool.com. He thanked me for notifying him of the small issue I had. Trust me, If I can remove and replace the O-rings and valve spring components, anyone can. Don't get in a hurry if you don't grab the old O-rings right away. Take your time and then use the small clip they include in the kit to reach in and check if you already have it loose.

Inadequate
This product promise to make rebuilding a check valve on my Harley and easy quick efficient thing to do. what the advertising doesnโt tell you is that it depends on cheap and inefficient paper clips that break with the slightest amount of pressure and bend prior to breaking good luck not breaking it.the hook made to remove the first O-ring is broken the first time I tried to use it did not remove the O-ring , it could not even grab it the only thing that the first one did was to bring a couple of pieces out on itโs been twisted and snapped paper clip tip. Took forever after creating my own hook To remove the remainder of the first ring. The B hook to remove the second fatter O-ring along with the valve and spring took five long laborious tries before pieces of that O ring came falling out they donโt tell you that they also included in the kit a regular week thin paper clip with some electrical wire shrink wrap on it as a tool to remove any bits and pieces left behind think maybe they knew this was gonna tear the rings apart this 20 minute job that it shouldโve been for me turned into 3 1/2 hours and after finally getting the new parts inserted the valve it leaks the same as it ever did. I have a mechanic coming tomorrow whoโs going to take a look at it told me these things tend to leave bits of rings in the valve that prevent the new rings from forming a good seal . I do not recommend this product to anybody I probably wouldโve been better off with dental tools. The price is ridiculous considering itโs performance please donโt waste your money on this , I gave this one star only because they required me to select one it doesnโt even deserve that

Cause it's Easy!!!
Well I purchased this little tool thinking it was over priced, I said to myself okay let's give it a try! Also watching the YouTube video made it that much more easier, the video helped a lot. Took me about half an hour or so but I got it! I know that this saved me lots of dollars vs. taking my Bike to the Harley Dealership and having to tow it as well. With the o-rings "The Repair Kit" and the tool ended up costing me about $150. or so dollars and my time in the garage, well worth it!!!

This product is a great and dummy proof.
I spent a lot of time researching how to fix my leaking quick disconnect valve on my 2007 FXSTD. It took several trips to the HD dealership, which was 90 miles away, attempting to purchase the correct o-rings. After buying a couple o-rings from the dealership for $0.35 each I attempted to change the o-rings with a dental pick that I had in my toolbox. I got the o-rings out and out shoot the spring which I could not find. I compared the o-rings to the ones the dealership sold me . Not the same. So I purchased this product and the Fuel Tool EFI Check Valve Rebuild Kit (about $20). I wish I would have purchased the Fuel Tool EFI Check Valve Rebuild Kit first and most likely would not have lost the spring and could have only bought the o-rings (not the entire rebuild kit). All and all the installation was easy and the Fuel Tool website had really good video on how to complete the installation. Ran my motor bike around town today and no leaks. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great tool but may not do the full job
Great tool will help get the check valve out but may not get the entire o-ring out if it's hard and brittle.

Didn't work
Didn't work at all. Wire snapped in the check valve jamming it open and failing to remove the o ring. Now the whole tool is useless. Don't waste your money just by the check valve assembly.
