To be honest I used on my hair that's like yours and yes weigh down and give me lots of frizz. Try on my girl 2b/2c and I didn't like the results. Although I've using on my hair cantu shea butter for natural hair moisturizing curl activater cream with LA LOOKS extreme sport or the curl activater cream & cantu shea butter moisturizing twist & lock gel,depending on my mood 😊 Use on mine and my girl ,different hair tipe . I just have to adapt the quantities. At begging was a tried and error but eventually got there and plus the water influences a lot Hope that helps 😊

Would this hold curls on short permed hair

I would think so I put it on my girls hair and they have an afro it lasts all day and my girls are like tom boys hope this help
