8 year old grandson loving making movies. Great toy.

Simple but efficient!

Captured a ten year old's attention for a while, she could very quickly make a stop motion video. The phone holder is really not necessary (we used an ipad anyway) but couldn't find a set without it.

I bought a couple of sets of this for a stop animation module I teach. I was surprised at the quality and flexibility of the figures. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed using them and the projects ended up being split between these and lego, usually lego dominates so it was a nice change. We will be buying more for next years class.

Child loved them

Thought my son would love these as he is always making his own little films with Lego figures but he seemed to lose interest very quickly and is back to using his Lego! Although he does like the tripod so not all gone to waste

my son loves the models and is enjoying using them to make short videos they have suction pads on the feet and hands to make them stick in all sorts of positions handy mobile phone tripod included

These little Stickbots are a great way in to early animation. The little tripod is sturdy and holds a phone securely. The Stickbots themselves are brilliant for demonstrating joint movement allowing for some really clever animations. Try making a simple forward facing flip and the characters do it brilliantly. The surface does need to be a solid, flat surface for the suction to work effectively, but so far we've animated on glass, up the side of a cup of tea and along a wooden floor. The app is simple, but great quality in the final image and the ghosting feature is a real bonus for a free app.
