Sensodyne Rapid Relief Toothpaste, Daily Fast Relief Sensitive Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth, Original Mint Flavour, 75ml

Was using this and developed swollen and painful gums where I was unable to brush my teeth for a week, developed a burning tongue, red and inflamed inner lips for weeks now. Been about three weeks and I last stopped using this toothpaste ( sensodyne rapid relief) only about a week ago, as wasn't sure it was this that caused it. This toothpaste contains SLS which I thought was responsible for causing irritation but other toothpastes also have this ingredient but not have caused such a reaction. I started becoming paranoid to the point of thinking I'm ill with some serious mouth decease..

Have never used Sensodyne toothpaste before and sadly, won't be using again! Upon 1st use, the toothpaste made my teeth feel even more sensitive than they already are! After a couple of days, I started getting ulcers in my mouth and the insides of my lips felt sore. I gave it the benefit of the doubt but stopped using after 5 days. I have now switched to Colgate Sensitive and no issues at all and ulcers and soreness have gone. I have since discovered that the Sensodyne Rapid Relief toothpaste contains SLS which is used to make the toothpaste foam and it's this ingredient that can cause ulcers. Colgate Sensitive has no SLS so will be using this from now on.

This works to reduce toothache however it makes my gums, tongue and lips swell up like a balloon! Definitely a bad reaction to something in this toothpaste as I never had the issue before using this

First batch was great, second lot the formula has changed and is not as effective. Colour has changed from white to blue, which is not as good as white paste previously ordered. Sensitivity is back!!!

I never leave reviews but I feel an obligation to do so here. I’ve just got through a full tube of this. For weeks I’ve been experiencing a lot of mouth related problems, including ulcers, burning lips, dry mouth, cracks around my mouth. I thought it was down to a viral infection or even stress related, until I looked up causes for dry mouth. It advised certain medications are usually the cause, which prompted me to search if anyone else had been having weird symptoms after using sensodyne. If you search reviews outside google, you’ll find a whole load of reviews from other people experiencing the exact same symptoms as myself. This toothpaste might work for some, but I think this must be the cause of my several weeks of discomfort. Tomorrow I will be trying a different toothpaste to see if my Lips stop burning

Be careful before you order this! I had re-ordered this item recently, by going through my past order and selecting to order the same. I was expecting the same item. When I started using it, straight away I realised that the way it was treating my teeth was not the same as the previous; this is even when the product name is the same. One difference was that the previous was white paste and the new one was green. I compared the ingredients between the previous and the latest and they were quite a bit different. Sellers should not replace a re-order with a different one. Very annoying as I have a constant background pain in my teeth which, in the past, this Sensodyne product always used to handle well. In fact I had bought it 5 times previously.

My Orthodontist recommended I use this toothpaste a few weeks prior to teeth whitening as i just had braces removed. I dont have overly sensitive teeth but this stuff is horrendous. As soon as I started brushing my teeth with it I get terrible pain like a nerve is being touched. Persisted with using it for almost a full week until I finally had enough. What is in this toothpaste?!? Im not the only person who has reported this issue there are threads online discussing it.

I bought this due to some sensitivity during the cold weather. However after a few days of use I seem to have had an allergic reaction to this toothpaste. My lips are numb and tingly, I've got small mouth ulcers all over my mouth and tongue. My mouth feels like it's on fire and burning and my gums omg have all gone a very alarming shade of bright crimson! I've stopped using it and hope my mouth heals up soon as it's extremely painful. I won't be repurchasing!

Don’t remember getting this on here. But it’s a fine toothpaste. I still buy in the shops.
