Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap 92 g

Absolutely love this soap. I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant and suffering with pregnancy rash all over my body. Nothing has been able to soothe the itching and redness. Using multiple creams and antihistamines prescribed by the doctors nothing worked apart from this soap. I was in agony with the pain and itchiness getting no sleep at all but after using this I’ve been having minor itching the redness has calmed down drastically and I’m getting full nights sleep again. The smell isn’t the best it does smell like a camp fire but it’s not too strong of a smell. Definitely on the pricier side but definitely worth the money!!

Yes, this soap has a strong smell. It’s not a bad smell, but distinct. However, this soap completely cleared up my psoriasis plaques a few years ago and they have never returned. Lathers great, highly recommend

I was very skeptical about whether or not this would work for the PUPPPs rash I've developed in the late stages of my pregnancy, but I'm so pleased I gave it a go. Antihistamines and hydrocortisone prescribed by the doctors just were not helping and I was so itchy and frustrated I would've tried anything! Yes, the smell is bad, but you get used to it and it doesn't linger on your skin. After showering using this soap twice a day for 2 days I've already started to see an improvement in the rash and I am far less itchy all over. 100% you should give this a go if suffering from PUPPPs.

Came in a large envelope oddly. Package inside was rather bashed but at least no plastic in sight which was a plus. Smell itself I find really odd. I was expecting something woody and foresty but it just smells old and off-putting. Stress the tar over the pine... Now I go in the bathroom and I can't smell anything else! If you can get past the musk then the actual product is nice. Good lather. Slightly long for my storage caddy but not a biggie and it'll get shorter. Won't buy again though.

This stuff is literally a miracle soap. I suffered with awful PUPPPs during my pregnancy. Awful rashes broke out on my arms, stomach, chest and neck. I was at my wits end and in so much pain. I was in tears everyday and couldn’t sleep. I tried everything to try and get rid of it, I tried bathing in breast milk, oat baths, dream cream from lush, aveeno dermexa cream, steroid creams from the GP and nothing helped. This was my last resort and honestly didn’t think it was doing anything as it took a week or so for the hives to die down. I now have zero itching from it! I recently got sick from covid and didn’t shower for a few days as I couldn’t get out of bed. The itching started to come back until I started using the soap again! The only thing I would say bring it’s down is the smell 😂 it’s not awful but it definitely smells like a campfire with a hint of burning tyres. It smells worse while showering than on your skin Once you’ve washed and gotten out of the shower you can barely smell it on you. Just pongs in the shower. But I would highly recommend this to anyone suffering from itching or hives!

AWFUL SMELLING PRODUCT! This product has been labeled as a "miracle" by few users who claim that it works wonders for their skin ... I am NOT disputing that, that MIGHT be true as long as you can pass it AWFUL smell! Personally it has very, very unpleasant smell, NOTHING close to a pine tree smell! ... I was born in Mediterranean and whole Mediterranean coast smells wonderfully since it is covered by Pine trees... it is beautiful smell, that once you experience - you never forget! ...well, in some respect this soap is same, but in bad way - once you smell it - you never forget it! Soap has terrible, heavy, pungent smell ...I tested it on my hands and does lather nicely but it smells heavy - very heavy! In fact, I couldn't bare it at all - after I tried to wash it off other (normal) soap but smell just wouldn't go away... my hand smelled "bad" for hours! ...and soap bar is same - even after I have rinsed soap off with water, put it in plastic bag and back in its box - I can smell it across the room! NOT NICE! ...Not nice at all ... I can't remember last time I had any "beauty" product smelling as bad as this! In some respect, this soap has a perfect name - "Grandpa's Soap" ...well in fact it smells like one! ... but not in nice way, it smells like old grandpa who didn't wash for months and smokes pipe whole day! ... somebody might like that, but sorry - not "my cup o tea"! I am really sorry if this review sounds harsh, but you will see that few other users have agreed with me ... it is NOT a nice smelling soap! ...I didn't use it for long enough to confirm if it has any benefits to a skin. On the bright side - perhaps it is good soap if you are traveling to work in busy train / underground ... it will definitely create some space in busy coach for you! :)

A lot of people really hate the smell of this soap, I am the opposite , I love it. If you like Glade air freshener and Mark Jacob’s Daisy perfume this will not be your thing. If you like the smell of peat fires, earth and seaweed it probably will be I bought it to see if it helps with my psoriasis but it’s too early to review that yet, I’d buy it again though just because I find the smell so different and natural

Sapone ricavato dalla cenere di pino. Io lo uso per la barba, in quanto mi evita la formazione di forfora (dandurf). Lo uso da anni e mi trovo bene. Prodotto ottimo , prodotto naturale

The smell from this soap overpowered the entire room and I had to throw it out. It is overwhelmingly pungent. It smells a bit like pine tar crossed with urinal cakes. I tried to keep it for a few days to see if it would either diminish or lessen if the soap got wet, but it did not. A guest came over and complained so I tossed it.

When it first arrived, the first thing I noticed was it smelled like a campfire, I put it in my shower and then my whole bathroom smelled like a campfire. That did not bother me, but if you’re not a fan of that smell, this may not be for you. After using it the first time I really liked it, it lathers very well, which is important to me, it rinses well also and leaves a very clean filling on your skin. I have only been using it for a little over a week now and can tell you this will not be my only purchase. Another note about the campfire smell. It doesn’t make your skin smell like that after you’ve used it, and after it is used that first initial campfire, strength smell subsided greatly. My plan with the pine tar soap is to rotate it with beef tallow soap that I purchased at the same time. The pine tar soap will be more medicinal purposes and the beef tallow will have the moisturizer purpose. I definitely think it’s worth giving it a try , I personally love it.
