Would the saitek mfd fit inside this surround?

The MFD is just the surround without a screen. All the buttons work. I rest mine onto a second monitor so that I can see moving maps on one and Flir on other in Digital Combat Sim.

What are the inner & outer dimensions of the mfd's (wxh) ?

Top to bottom external 14 cmTop to bottom internal 10.8 cmThe rim thickness is about 1.2cm The fold flat, There's a plastic  clear screen that slips down the back and behind that you fit the relevant card for your sim. I have the FSX ones and it gives the button numbers and the event i.e.dsb17 cowl flaps close...but I use if for the A10 for DCS WORLD. OK

This item does not have a glass or touch-sensitive screen in it.... purely the frame. All of the buttons are functional and exit/power is through a USB cable. I believe you can get mini-screens (coloured) from another source which will provide the display you are perhaps looking for and at about £80 a pair, it is not too expensive to upgrade but a degree messier for installation. I have started using VR glasses so when often when your vision is closed off to these devices, they can still be operated by touch (although had I known then what I know now) being very realistic if building a panel if you intend to move to say Oculus Quest 2 eventually, that is cost-competitive and provides fingertip touch for all panel instruments once you get used to it.
