Worked great as upgrade from older Pixel phone. Worked on the Visible (Verizon towers).
Amazing phone, bought this as an upgrade from a Pixel4A, the performance was very noticeable. The phone we bought came with a dead battery but it wasn't long before we had enough charge to setup. Condition was as promised and I was able to transfer my files with limited success. I was able to transfer my Visible (uses Verizon towers) esim from my old device over to this one easily. Would buy a renewed phone from this seller again. Highly recommended.

Boot-loop software error. OEM Locked. IMEI Blacklisted
The refurbished and unlocked phone arrived in a timely manner. The phone came in excellent physical condition with no visible scuffs or scratches. The phone, when activated, immediately got stuck at the Google screen in a boot-loop. This is a software error I can only assume came about while the seller was unlocking the phone. After much hassle, and a steep learning curve, I was able to flash a new OTA image of the software to the phone and now it works perfectly. Be warned; if you encounter the same problem and attempt the same fix without doing it correctly you WILL turn the phone into a useless paperweight. 2 stars deducted for the hassle. Edit: After writing the previous portion I discovered that the phone is OEM locked, and that the IMEI (the phone's unique identifier) has been blacklisted by the carrier. This information is shared across carriers and no one will put the phone on thier network as a result. The phone is therefore USELESS.

Elevates your day with features you didn’t even know you needed, the Pixel 7 delivers.
I originally picked up the Pixel 7 for one simple reason: I needed a phone with reliable Tap to Pay. That was the entire motivation behind the purchase. I wasn’t chasing specs or hype — just a device that would let me move through my day without pulling out a wallet. But the moment I set it up, it became clear this phone was going to give me far more than the one feature I came for.Tap to Pay worked instantly and flawlessly, which already checked my main box. But then the Pixel 7 started revealing features I didn’t even know I needed. The interface felt clean and intuitive. Face Unlock and the fingerprint sensor worked without hesitation. Even small touches — like call screening, smart photo tools, and the smoothness of everyday navigation — made the phone feel thoughtfully designed for real life.Day by day, it kept surprising me. Not with flashy gimmicks, but with practical features that quietly made everything easier such as the copilot chat feature. By the end of the week, I realized this wasn’t just a phone that met my expectations — it pushed past them.I bought it for Tap to Pay, but the features I didn’t know I needed took my satisfaction to another level.

Good item, condition okay
Overall a pretty good device. My only complaint would be the condition. I did expect some light scuffing, but the screen has really deep scratches. And a lot of them! There was a screen protector already installed, but I think that it was put there to hide the scratches on screen. I only say that because it was a super dark and tinted tempered glass screen protector. So I felt that was a little deceiving.

Locked or Unlocked, that is the question...
I have purchased several phones from Amazon before this, each allegedly unlocked. But what are we asking when we ask that question? If a phone is stolen, it can be locked from being reactivated. A phone can be locked because the person you purchased it from didn't share their passcode to "unlock" the phone to make calls. Then there is Carrier Unlocked, which usually means it can be used with any provider's (like AT&T, Verizon, TMobile, etc.) system. There may be other things that unlocked may refer to that I am frankly ignorant about. Any time I've purchased a phone that was supposed to be unlocked, and it would not activate, the seller always insisted it was unlocked. Finally, with this Pixel 7, I seem to have a phone which is carrier unlocked, as well as not having a user lock. No warnings about using a specific network's SIM card were presented on activation. In fact, the phone appeared completely new other than generic packaging. It functions well, clean,no scratches anywhere on the exterior, initial setup was as if it was an unused phone. The screen has no "burn in" patterns and is bright and responds quickly to touch. Battery appears to be like new as well. I purchased this phone after using iPhones for about 8 years. I tired of Apple's insisting I buy more cloud space without an effective way to remove my photos (and KEEP them), the only choices being to delete them or subscribe for more cloud space. Apple doesn't have to do it that way, but they want you to buy cloud space. A dollar a month doesn't seem like much, but multiply that by 230million users! The cloud is probably the most environmentally damaging way to hang onto old digital photos ever invented. Also, if at some point the cloud loses your photos, you have little recourse. That is also the case if they change the rules about access to YOUR DATA. Research it.I you think you want a new phone, a good place to start your research is gsmarena. I like the Pixel series because there are custom ROMS, operating systems, that can be loaded in place of Android. Remember how I said I switched from Apple to Android? Well my previous Android phone wasn't to my liking, which is why I switched to iPhones to start with...and because MS messed up the WONDERFUL Windows Phone 8.1, I felt there were no other choices. I digress...in case I don't like the latest offering from Android I wanted options, like LineageOS and GrapheneOS. So far I am experimenting with the stock Android until I know it isn't merely learning curve that frustrates me.By the way, Google has their own dirty cloud, as does MS. I avoid them all.My final word of advice is to be prepared to return the phone, any phone. You might have just a bad example, or maybe it wasn't properly listed, or renewed, or unlocked. Mistakes happen. Or maybe the phone just isn't right for you. I didn't need to contact this seller for anything, I am happy with the purchase ! The seller was "thegadgetdeals".

Is unlocked even though it shows scan Verizon QR code
The package of the phone came in with both sides unsealedBut didn't effect the phone QR code in seeing does say scan Verizon SIM but if you just scan another carrier esim it will work and install but you have to but the unlocked model

Works ok BUT
It was visually like a new phone and the battery worked and charged fine but the data connector was flakey and continuously disconnected from my vehicle. I tried to contact the seller without a reply so I ultimately ended up returning it.

Listed as ‘Excellent’ but arrived scratched and defective
The phone I received did not match the Amazon Renewed “Excellent” condition described in the listing. The obsidian metal trim has deep scratches and the glass on the back of the device also has significant scratches that look similar to abrasion. These damages are easily visible from more than 12 inches away in normal lighting, which contradicts the “Excellent” cosmetic standard. The packaging also offered minimal protection. The phone arrived in a small package with only a thin bubble wrap sleeve and one sheet of bubble wrap.More importantly, the device is defective. When it arrived it showed the low battery screen. I charged the phone for several hours using multiple known working chargers and cables, but it never moved past the low battery display. After charging overnight, the phone now does not power on at all.I purchased this device for Android development testing and presentation, so receiving a device with both cosmetic damage and a battery failure was extremely disappointing. I am returning for a refund.

Good device
Came in very good shape. No scratches or signs of wear.Battery lasts a long time. No performance issues for me. I've had it for quite a long time now.

Good, just good. Price justified, sure..
It's good at bestThe condition is labeled as 'excellent' but that's false. There's small scratches around the frame. Also, the charger is generic that it doesn't work. Some compensation will be appreciated 🤞

The cheapest way to get 5g support in pixel family
Google Pixel 7 (5G) 128GB (Canadian Model GVU6C) Unlocked - Obsidian (Renewed)Still a good phone. At Amazon warehouse pricing this is a great entry level 5G phone. My previous phone was a 6a but that had no 5G. I finally have 5G in the area and was looking for a tiny upgrade to use 5G in the area. The pixel7 is a nice ultra low cost upgrade for this reason.Cameras even better than 6a hands down. I was looking for 7a but for whatever reason the 7 is cheaper . Camera is significantly better than 6a. Faster more accurate focusing too. Also the sensor is larger on 7 vs 7a so in theory better picture detail in low light tooAt the end of the day I just wanted 5g . So pixel 7 was the lowest cost pixel family upgrade for me. Still a good phone. And pixel 7 has Google upgrade sw support for another few years til Oct 2027.If you're like me .. this is a great cost effective upgrade for 5g support.
