Topeak Smart D2 Digital Gauge

Bought two of these because I lost the first one I bought years ago, this relatively small pressure gauge is fantastic and does both types of valve. The display is easy to read and it twists so you can still see it even in difficult angles. Had my previous for over 5 years and still worked like new also never had to change the battery with weekly use. Use it for both my car and bike, I love this product.

Bought this for checking my bike tyres pressure and although quite expensive, the other reviews online about it being good are correct. I now use this as my main gauge when setting my tubeless or tube tyre pressures. The digital display is easy to see, the continuous reading is great as you use the release button to reduce the pressure to what you need. Works across schrader and normal car tyre valves so covers my road and hybrid bike. At first it was fiddly to use and I found I let a lot of air out to begin with when taking a reading, but once you get used to holding it at the correct angle it just works and I now find it simple to use and more accurate than my track pump gauge. Generally now pump up higher than required pressure on track pump then use this and the release button to get the specific pressure I want. Excellent bit of kit and worth the hefty price tag. It also stows away nicely as its pretty small, so fits in my wheel bag when heading to an event.

Possibly one of the best, however, even before I used it the overlay button cover came off with removing the fake display vinyl sticker. To my surprise it wasn't stuck on permanent, just had teeny bits of sticky tac used to temporary bond, the type used on birthday cards to tac a badge!! As previous reviewer has mentioned, super glue to the rescue. For this price, it's poor, haven't Topeak got glue? Anyhoo, no worries but here's some tips... Use the super glue with pinpoint tip, such as Loctite Power Gel, or it'll go everywhere, 4 tiny specs and your golden. Even if yours hasn't popped off, it will at some point. Accuracy - I have a Topeak Joe Blow track pump, it wasn't far out, 1-2 psi off, I'd say over inflate about 5psi, then use the tune function to release to desired psi. More important if you use tubeless and on a high tuned road/race or MTB. I've a heavy tank of an EBike, has Schrader valves, the tune function is tricky on Schrader, so,over inflate, then just press off and on and air will by default release, you'll not need to use air release button. Overall it's spot on, I had an Oxford digital guage (£7) that failed, this replaced it, I also will use it on my car, Ford ST150, with race suspension and low profile tyres, plus my EBike has air shocks front and rear, this can be used but I've a shock pump anyway. Final thoughts - I trust the brand, I love my track pump, this seems expensive, for what it is, but it's lightweight, easy read display, swivel head etc, just make sure you have a bit of glue.

This is a wonderful little tool for checking your tyre pressures, it's compact, easy to use and very accurate indeed. No problems fitting it to the valve or taking a reading and checking against another brand it seems accurate. If you want one and are looking for a good deal then this may be for you, its certainly good enough for me.

Bought this to use with my road bike as I wasn't sure the gauge on my track pump was accurate. Item arrived very quickly, and was very nicely presented (as with all Topeak items). First thing I noticed was the excellent quality and weight of the item, which was a nice surprise given one reviewers a comment of it being cheap and plasticky? It is made of plastic, but is quite weighty and very good quality. The instructions cover various languages, but are easy enough to read, and the item itself is pretty straightforward to use. It adjusts between Schader and Presta valves with the flick of a button, and actually has an added bonus for me, the fact that I can use it on the car as well. The head rotates to suit whatever angle you take your pressure from. It also can be set to a desired pressure, so that if your pressures are too high, then with the touch of a button, you can let air out and it will beep when it reaches your desired pressure .... very clever!! As for making a good connection with the valve, I've found that as long as you centre your valve correctly on the head of the unit, it connects perfectly, with no loss of air. On release, you lose some air, but the same can be said of any pump/gauge, and Topeak quote this in the instructions. I would strongly recommend this item, it is actually far better than I was expecting!!

This is the second one I have bought. Not the cheapest pressure gauge but accurate and deals with the two most common valve types meaning it covers my car, motorcycle and pedal cycles. The only reason I bought this second unit is I have mislaid my original. However it’s so good I didn’t want to be without it. If I find the original I will just keep it in my bike kit and the new one by my pump in the shed.

Looks great and actually worked well for a while but now leaks air when taking a reading. Apparently no adjustment to tighten the seal or opportunity to replace it so what started so well is now a disappointment. Display clear and functionality OK.

Tengo algunas bombas para llantas y suspensiones que incluyen un manómetro, pero desgraciadamente ninguna ofrece precisión más allá de -10/+10 PSI (y algunas, ni siquiera eso). Este medidor por el contrario es súper preciso y muy fácil de usar. El único pero (muy pequeño) que pondría es que se puede perder un poco de presión (alrededor de 1 PSI) entre cada uso si lo estás usando con válvulas tipo presta, ya que al momento de introducir la toma de la válvula en el medidor hay una ligera pérdida de aire. Sin embargo este pequeño inconveniente no alcanza para quitarle una estrella :) Lo que sí creo es que es un poco caro, pero bueno desgraciadamente la calidad cuesta. Actualización: después de casi un año de uso sigue funcionando a la perfección y lo más importante, dando mediciones precisas. La batería no se ha acabado (lo uso una o dos veces a la semana) y en general creo que lo volvería a comprar, pues la inversión ha valido la pena.

Excellente jauge pour vérifier rapidement et avec précision la pression des pneus. L’écran est facile à lire, l’utilisation est simple et le format compact permet de l’emporter facilement avec son équipement de vélo. Très pratique pour ajuster la pression avant une sortie. Produit solide et fiable, je suis très satisfait.
