Best thing with no need for a starter. There's no need to wait for it to cool down before turning it back on. And it's cheaper to run too.

Bulb has blown within 2 months
Hi, I have tried to find how to contact you but have been unsuccessful, this is my only means of communicating. I hope you can come back to me. I bought this lamp at the end of September and it has already blown this morning. What is the lifespan of the bulb? Previous bulbs have lasted about 12 months. I look forward to your feedback. Low quality
I am so annoyed that its broken after 9 weeks of use. I bought it for my turtle after seeing a good review but it back fire me. I should have just stuck to Ebay ones. What a waste of money and time.

Lampe défaillante a grillé après 5 jours d utilisation je l ai renvoyé et opté pour une solar raptor quelques euro plus cher mais plus fiable ! J aurais du me fier aux commentaires

Lampada a vapori di mercurio tutto in uno, UVA UVB e calore, permette di non utilizzare le due lampade separate con notevole risparmio. Dura circa un anno ma è importante evitare l'accendi-spegni e l'utilizzo non perfettamente verticale perchè ne diminuisce notevolmente la durata.

Defective on arrival
At the first start it generated massive heat, much more than it should. had to hang it up very high for an 80W MVB and it was still getting basking area to dangerous temperatures. After first switch off, it never turned on back again. I use Exo Terra bulbs but there is something wrong with this one.
