Amazing how this works, writes well and having the choice of 2 styli I can play around a little. Looks outstanding on desk too

This is the best ballpoint pen I've ever used, way smoother than the type I was used to (and I suspect, that you're used to). The fountain pen is also smooth and a nice touch, and I like the stand/ base that suspends the pen in the air. The only real downside to the pen is that due to the weight of the magnets on the end opposite the ink tip, it feels unbalanced and a little odd in the hand. Once you get used to it, no big deal, but it does seem like the weight is backwards from most pens. This was a gift for my wife and she's in love with it, so I'm glad I got it for her, it's mostly a novelty but it is of high quality and I'd buy it again.

THIS pen was expensive. If you just want something to write with, there are cheaper fountain pens. However, the pen is neat, different. I was looking for a desk pen.Amazon has all kinds of pens, fountain included, but next to no desk fountain pens. This one fills the bill. What I like about the pen: It's neat, a fun thing to have on your desk and a conversation piece It is smooth and has a really light touch when writing. Like writing with a feather What I don't like: Cats think it is a play toy at night. I find it off its pedestal in the morning (I put it on the pedestal in the evening) The pedestal doesn't enclose the pen; it still has a cover you must remove to use it The pen fits in the holder upside down. This means of course, the top won't become filled with spilled ink, but it also means you have to turn it right side up and remove the cap before you can use it. Instructions are inadequate; e.g., they did not tell or show me how to expose the nib so I could write. Since the whole pedestal is a magnet (so the pen will hang freely, it grabs the pen and you have to pick up the pedestal to separate pen from it. You have to use force to get past the edges of the holder and put the pen in its suspended place. Read independent reviews before buying to ensure you really want to spend the money on something that is a gadget as well as a good fountain pen. I will keep the pen, but had I read reviews first I would not have spent the money on it.

As someone who struggles with ADHD and visibly struggles at assembling anything more complicated than a SANDWICH, the Novium Hover Pen 3.0 was a delightful surprise. Its clean modern design made me feel like a high-tech wizard every time I picked it up. This pen isn't just eye candy; it's a fidgeter's dream come true. The hover feature keeps my restless hands busy without driving everyone around me insane. Writing with it is a smooth experience, and it's become my go-to for jotting down random thoughts before they evaporate. Sleek and futuristic, it looks like something straight out of a cyberpunk story. However, assembling the fountain pen took me a bit of instruction-reading and Googling - I didn't realize you just had to...insert the nib. So it was either stupidly easy or I’m just overly dense—probably the latter. This pen hovers beautifully, keeping my AD8K with Ray Tracing occupied and my desk looking straight out of Tony Stark's workshop. Writing with it feels so smooth, Light Yagami would briefly consider ditching his Death Note for a single day to write with the Novium. Sure, it took me a hot minute to figure out, but once I got the hang of it, I couldn't put it down. For anyone like me, who needs a little extra help staying focused, this pen is wonderful. Plus, it looks so cool on my desk that I feel a bit more like an adult and less like the chaotic tornado I usually am. 4.5 stars for making me feel fancy and functional!

The Novium Hoverpen Future Edition 2-In-1 Set is a perfectly acceptable writing implement. But admit it, if you are seeing this, that's not why you're reading. The silver base and mist blue pen are most attractive, however that's not the reason either. By education I am a scientist, but seeing the pen body suspended in the ether is something out of science fiction. One negative, not enough to take off a star: the pen cap does not post. That is the cap does not fit on the rear of the pen for writing. The balance is still OK, but what does one then do with the cap? There is not much to keep the cap from rolling on the floor.

The pen doesn't particularly like sitting correctly on the base. The cap doesn't have a tactile click that holds it in place either. The fountain pen nib isn't the most reliable and often ink stops coming through. All in all very disappointed.
