Can I put on patio chairs?

If the legs of your chairs fit, it maybe okay . One's bar stools glide nicely because they work great on my laminate floors but not sure if they will glide on your patio floor.

Would these work outside?

I don’t think they are any good outside…. But you could try. The ones I bought were for a friend.

Will this shower catcher stop food residue from going down the drain?

Yes, the holes of the drain cover are slender enough to stop debris to get through.

Does it stay in place even if there is an inch or more of water at the bottom of the tub or shower?

Yes it does. It hasn't shifted, floated or dislodged itself at all in the time we've used them.
