Many of our favourite movies come with a side of iconic food moments: the comforting frothy butterbeer from Harry Potter, the sumptuous apple strudel from Inglorious Basterds, the delectable deli fare from When Harry Met Sally, or Remy the rat-chef’s signature ratatouille in Ratatouille. In this cookbook, author Andrew Rea (of the hit YouTube channel ‘Binging with Babish’) recreates these iconic food scenes and many more. With recipes from more than 40 classic and cult films, Eat What You Watch is the perfect gift for both movie buffs and cooks who want to add some cinematic flair to their cooking repertoire. Review: Fantastic way to get into more creative cooking in the kitchen - After watching Babish grow from a Reddit post to a massive youtube channel covering multiple different topics. This book is still fantastic to this day. The recipes are delicious (depending on how well you follow them XD.) And there is such a wide variety thanks to where the recipes came from that you'll rarely be bored and easily find some new favourite meals. Can't recommend enough Review: Babbish Knows Best - Andrew's book is a wonderful guide to cooking what you see on TV and if you haven't already, check out his channel on YouTube, Binging With Babbish. He's funny, easy to follow, and the videos are entertaining. This book is wonderful for the same reasons. You've now got a physical cookbook (much better than googling recipes) written by a creative and unique individual, with recipes that are easy to follow and fun to cook. To be fair, I'm a huge fan and I actually bought three of these as gifts last Christmas. I may buy more this year to give out.

It's Like Being in Andrew Rae's Kitchen.
This book is exactly what I was looking for. It has a lot of the classic recipes from the Youtube series Binging with Babish and provides great details. Furthermore, there are simply recipes, as easy as pancakes, and more labor intensive ones like fish tacos. This would be perfect for a gift or for your own cooking pleasure. Even if you are not a cook, this books looks nice on a shelf and I often have guest look through it and ask me what the recipes are from. I would recommend this highly for any Binging with Babish fan.

Food & Film. Can't Be Beat
Andrew has a great YouTube channel, Binging With Babbish. He focuses on recreating food items from movies and TV shows, no matter how absurd it might sound. Speaking for myself, I don't give the food on film much thought, even if it's a star of the film. From his forward, Andrew convinces you that it's more important than you think and, thanks to him, I will probably pay more attention in the future. This book is a collection of several of his recipes from various movies and personal notes on his thoughts on each. Andrew is definitely passionate about film and food. He makes the recipes fairly easy and straightforward. I'm very interested in the homemade pastrami. If you aren't familiar with Binging With Babbish and enjoy food and film, check out his YouTube series. Even if you don't cook anything yourself, his high quality videos are very entertaining. He just started Basics With Babbish, same channel, which teaches basic culinary skills. Eventually, you will be able to cook along and interact with him via Twitch.

More Coffee Table than Cookbook...
I love Andrew's Babish youtube series, and so happy that he's published his own cookbook. But it's less a cookbook, and more a decorative coffee table book. I still very much enjoy the book and supporting Andrew. But there's only a handful of recipes I would actually make from it. There are a bit over the top, fanciful. Perfectly fine if you are impressing dinner guests. However for everyday dinners and regular life, it's a bit much. And unfortunately for the top 10 list there aren't any written recipes. Which was a bummer, a couple of them were something I would make. The book was a little thin too, I expected more recipes, and a bigger variety of ones that haven't been featured on the show already. But for a first cookbook, it is very nicely put together. I look forward to a second, hopefully filled with more everyday type recipes, with exclusives that won't be aired. Some of the food weren't being showcased in the best lighting, which I found a bit odd when it's a cookbook. If you're a fan of the show, definitely recommend to pick up. Especially if you've been wanting to make a couple recipes from the show. But if you're just looking for a cookbook, it definitely leaves something to be desired.

Happy With Purchase.
I bought this book for my Lover, who is a huge fan of "Andrew Rea" aka "Binging With Babish". He always watching the cooking/baking videos and trying to copy them. I decided to order this book for him, and my man is overly thrilled by it . This book is not that complex, the recipes are easy to understand and the photos give you an idea of what you may be cooking/baking. The font is a nice size and easy to read, the colors and lightening in photos could be a bit better. In all, the purchase with this book was a good idea and it shall be used in the future for many new cooking / baking ideas.

Great Cookbook for Cookbook Readers
I collect cookbooks and this is a nice little reader with great recipes. It's colorful, full of interesting factual information on the movies that relate to each recipe. Would make a great gift.

Who doesnt want the cake from 16 candles?
I came into this cookbook knowing exactly what I was asking for. A list of sometimes overly fancy recipes based on movies. And it delivered exactly what I wanted. This is mostly because I really like Rea's youtube series. I likely wont make half these meals but some of them I already plan to and others are fun to learn how to do some of the older style techniques. Andrew Rea doesn't cheap out on teaching more specialized techniques like making puff pastry or how to properly make syrups. Which most cook books don't really focus on unless they are for higher end chefs. I just wish this one had abit more of his dry wit to it but I know that rarely works in writing.

Perfect for those movie lovers!
I bought this for a friend for their christmas present. He is a massive Cine-file and loves all things movies. He also loves cooking so I knew this was going to be the perfect gift for him. I had a quick look through the book before wrapping and there was a varied amount of different recipes from different cultures. There was also lots of other bits of information to have a read of too, which really rounds out the book. My friend has really enjoying cooking from this book and all of the food he's made has looked incredible!
