Used as data storage on my custom built i7 4k video 32Gb laptop. Paired with the 1TB version as my boot drive. Totally silent. Maximum battery life. Maximum reliability. Maximum speed. Full system backups are done in under 10 minutes. Yes it costs a small fortune, but for me it's worth every penny.

The Samsung 850 Pro 2TB SSD works absolutely fine as a primary drive replacement
In a MacBook Pro 13" unibody Late 2011... faster than a Crucial M500 1TB. The Samsung 850 Pro 2TB SSD works absolutely fine as a primary drive replacement. But... those of you who replace the optical drive with a HDD/SSD caddy/bracket... be warned... the MacBook Pro 13" Late 2011 does not work with this 2TB SSD from Samsung. Apologies, but I just wasn't willing to open up my MBPro to test a Samsung Spinpoint M9T 2TB in the second space (optical replacement caddy) - so the assumption is that... 2TB SSDs work fine in the primary bay, but 2TB SSD do not work on the optical drive's SATA port. Yes, I did take out the Samsung 2TB SSD from second/optical slot, put the 1TB Crucial back in which worked, and then lay down a GPT table with one partition on the Samsung 2TB, and then put the Samsung 2TB back in, but still no joy. So, now I'm running with Samsung 850 Pro 2TB SSD as primary and Crucial M500 1TB SSD as secondary. All recovered via Time Machine. And I love that TM/TC, wonderful. I've given this review 5 stars because it's fast. I'll be back to comment if it fails.

I migrated from a 1TB Windows 10 64 bit installation and everything went perfectly My laptop now is much quicker and smoother so I guess I've extended it's life by 1000% at least One recommendation - I used Paragon Drive Copy 15 Professional - am really impressed with this software and would fully recommend it to anybody that wants a smooth hassle free disk migration

Don't order from CII Computing. This product was tampered with. The box was open and the SSD compartment was empty. The drive itself had obviously been stolen.

Super easy to install. Great performance. I have been using the 850Pro 1TB for over a year and had no problems. I expect this 2TB to have a long life in my MSI GT80 Titan laptop.

Una SSD con collegamento SATA6, veloce e affidabile.
Ottima SSD di tipo standard SATA... E' certo che, ad oggi, con l'avvento delle SSD in formato M.2 NGFF e NVME questo tipo di SSD diventa obsoleta! Ma è altresi certo che se si ha necessità di spazio storage superiore al terabyte non ci sono altre possibilità che prendere una di queste. Personalmente movimentando grosse quantità di dati da portare in giro non ho trovato soluzioni differenti dal mettere una SSD SATA in un box/convertitore SATA6 -> USB3.x... Infatti pare che, al momento almeno, non esista nulla che possa far diventare ad es. una Samsung SM951 (AHCI o NVME) una memoria portabile con connessione ad es. USB3.1 o Thunderbolt3; quindi tra la dimensione massima odierna, il costo ed il tipo di connessione questo tipo di SSD rimane (e credo rimarrà ancora a lungo) uno standard per l'archiviazione portabile ad elevata velocità e dimensione. P.S. Mi è capitato di provare il servizio di RMA di Samsung e anche per esso sono stracontento, mi ha impressionato la rapidità nel gestire la sostituzione, e il tutto a loro spese!

Non cercateli ricondizionati. Ordinato 2/2 modelli che erano molto + lenti dei miei meccanici (WD Gold); l'analisi S.M.A.R.T. ha accertato che erano praticamente da buttare. Venditore disponibile, ma vorrei capire con che faccia sono stati rimessi in vendita...

Sehr viel SSD Platz
Mein Vater benutzt zum Arbeiten einen Dell Laptop mit einer normalen 2 TB Platte. Dadurch, dass er sehr oft nach Übersee fliegen muss, machte ihm die konventionelle Platte sorge, sie könnte ja durch den dauernden Transport kaputt werden. Kurzerhand einfach eine 2 TB Platte gekauft. Sie funktioniert perfekt. Der Computer läuft auch extrem schneller (logisch irgendwie) Die Garantie ist bei diesen großen Platten auch länger, aber wenn man von einer normalen Laptoplebensdauer ausgeht wird die SSD wahrscheinlich den Laptop eh überleben. Klare Kaufempfehlung, aber hoffentlich wird in Zukunft der Preis für solche Produkte noch sinken.
