Has anyone upgrade from platinum to iridium for a Yamaha F225 4 stroke outboard engine? If you have, I'd like to hear comments regarding the change.

I ‘ve been running the iridium plugs in my 2008 Yamaha F225-TXR for three years as I use my bout around 400-500 hours a year, and did not want to have to change plugs every 100hr. I have ran them as many as 250 hr between spark plug changes. If you buy on line you have to make sure they are genuine NGK Spark Plug, cause I bought 1-set of Plug where the boxes looked just like the Official NGK Plug box but they were not! When I changed them out the electrodes were gone. I noticed a big difference when I switched to Iridium plugs the motor runs so smooth that at idle you can’t hear the motor running. You can call NGK and they will cross reference the factory plug to there Iridium plug for your application.

does this item fits nissan teana 2003 and nissan xtrail 2001?

are these pre gapped?

NEVER gap iridium or platinum plugs with a normal gap tool. never apply pressure to the central electrode. They should be pre-gapped to .044 in (1.1mm).

2009 Nissan Xterra GCC. Just installed them on 08-10-2023

I noticed a slight vibration on idle, which became pronounced when I turned on the AC. There was an oil leak on the plugs due to the seal on the valve cover going bad. I had to change the valve covers (Left, right), and plug these in; the car runs smooth. Will update in a couple of months if there's any change in the performance.
