I am giving the NicoDerm CQ Step 1 Nicotine Patches (21mg) a full 5 stars because, simply put, they are the most effective nicotine patch I have ever used. I've tried various generic or off-brand options in the past, and none compare to the steady, reliable craving relief provided by NicoDerm's Extended Release SmartControl Technology. It truly makes a noticeable difference in reducing the urges associated with quitting. Now, for the honest talk: like nearly all transdermal nicotine patches, the adhesive on NicoDerm CQ is not the strongest. On a hot day, during exercise, or even just general movement, they can start to peel or pop off. However, this is a universal issue with patches and not a fault of this brand alone. My solution—and my top recommendation to anyone using this product—is to secure it with a piece of leuko tape (or any highly adhesive medical tape). Placing a piece of tape over the patch and around the edges ensures it stays perfectly in place for the full 24 hours, guaranteeing you get the complete dosage and the maximum craving relief. If you are serious about quitting, the slightly higher price and the need for a bit of extra tape are a small trade-off for the superior effectiveness of the NicoDerm CQ formula. These patches work better than the generics, period.

Thank you I stopped again with your help! Patch may feel irritated at first but you have to place it on dry skin. These patch are not cheap so when you put on becareful! Once it falls off it’s hard to stick on your skin again! I tried generic in the past and when I peeled off it peeled off my skin. Nicoderm definitely made with good material and never peeled my skin. It’s been 3 months since I touch my last cig. Kids love it Bc I no longer smell like ashtray and another things I can do to make myself healthy for the family and myself!

You have to serious want to stop. Change only happens when the pain of staying the same is greater then the pain of change. You mentally control yourself and repeat what you need to yourself to with stand buying a pack and these help keep the cravings away. They do that cuz they still supply you with nicotine. They helped for 7 days then I felt mentally strong to give up nicotine which again was tough day one but day 2 was a breeze and by this time I was 9 days into not lighting up. They helped me control cravings but YOU need to control your movements like telling yourself to go to the store or it's only one on break from a coworker. It's tough so yes these helped me but again your mind is who you depend on with cigarettes. Tell those sticks to go to hell and this might help you stay strong my friend

One of the only nicotine patches that truly work. Even though this brand has a higher price point I can definitely feel the difference compared to the cheaper brands. I truly think that this product is worth investing in if you are trying to quit smoking. It keeps the cravings of smoking away for longer periods of time.

Did not stick - kept falling off - and I got a horrible skin reaction.

The product works well for me, as there seems to be a nice steady release of nicotine throughout a long day of wearing. I don't wear them to sleep in. The only drawback to these is that they don't seem to stick very well on the side edges, and I am very sensitive to the adhesive used. Because they really hurt my skin and cause a rash, I do not use them consistently. Still, this is a good product but I wish they would change the adhesive to be less irritating for sensitive skin.

Mine was great but the exp date was only good for a couple months. I received around October and the exp was for December. I would order as needed (not stock) to ensure they are not expired. The brand is really the Best quality though. No trouble getting it to stick to the skin. ( best results have been used in the upper arm. A shirt with sleeves to cover the area keeps it in place until the adhesive sets)

Oh, I don't know. I want to stop smoking, but then my habit kicks in and I forget that I want to start smoking and I start smoking, even when wearing one of these! I'll keep trying, but from one smoker to another... these patches don't really work that well.
