Secret Garden: 20 Postcards

This is the second book of these cards that I've bought. I used the first during lockdown and posted one every week to my granddaughter with a little message on it. They're so lovely, quality,thick card and beautiful designs. You get all the pleasure of colouring them and then spread some happiness by sending them to friends. You could actually use them instead of a birthday card. Well worth the money as they're quite intricate and can't be rushed so this one little book lasts a while.

What can I say about this little book of Postcards - absolutely stunning! I gave it to my daughter (who's in her 20s) for Christmas and by Boxing Day she'd half of them completed! It was amazing to see a black and white picture come to life. The great thing about these postcard is that they can be sent to your friends and family or displayed in a frame (like my daughter has done). Bought this little book along with Staedtler triplus fineliner pens which were perfect for the job.The only disappointing thing is that my daughter has not been able to find any more booklets like it. If there were more produced I think she'd be the first to buy them!

This book of postcards has challenged me as some of the designs are very intricate, I have really enjoyed colouring these postcards, and the people I have sent them too have loved them. Very relaxing to colour in leaves, flowers, plants, and gardens, this book will keep you busy, and is great to experiment with bright colours, you will need very fine felt tip pens for these designs, would recommend stabilo or staedler.

I ordered this as I'd read that colouring in was good for anxiety/stress relief and was surprised to find so many colouring in books to choose from on Amazon - it was difficult to choose! This one is great, very detailed and beautifully designed. In some cases, the design is so detailed that it makes colouring it in a little tricky so using fine tipped pens is an absolute must - I ordered a pack of 20 Staedtler Triplus Fineliners (0.3mm) which were great.I highly recommend colouring in for stress/anxiety relief and this set of postcards are a perfect way to give it a go. It can be quite addictive!

Perfect size for a quick fix, I love Secret Garden book but it takes me a long time to colour a page in as I spend ages blending and shading, it's taken me weeks to colour pages in the past so I really like how you can a Johanna design in one sitting with the postcards.They lay totally flat when opened up which makes colouring them easier, because some are zoomed out to fit the smaller estate there's some really intricate details which may not be great for those with bad eye sight or fine motor issues.Out of the 20 designs most of my faves are there so I'm happy.

I love this postcard book. Arrived on time, well packaged. The cards are actually a lot thicker than postcards which I like as there is no leakage and indentations on the next card. Each card is fully printed on the reverse as a postcard so can be used and there are perforations for the tearpoint. It's very intricate so time is needed and a sharp pencil. Would definitely recommend to the more experienced and steady handed.

If you are a grown up that like colouring with (or without your children!) I cannot recommend these postcards more highly!! They are absolutely beautiful and will give you hours of meditative colouring time!! Colouring is a great way to relax the mind in the busy world we all live in (I also think it helps to lower the blood pressure!).

I bought this for my husband, as he already had the book version, but the paper in that tends to smudge the ink at times - so these postcards were perfect. He has now completed them all (despite one having mysteriously vanished - perhaps the cat ate it) and wishes there were more on the market. He says they are very relaxing to do. I say they keep him quiet. Whichever way you look at it, they're a good buy!

Die Bilder sind wunderschon gewählt, sehr detailreich und ermöglichen einen großen Spielraum an eigenen Farbvorstellungen. Wenn die Stifte gute gespitzt sind und einen satten Farbauftrag ermöglichen( z.B. Faber Castell) geht es mit einem durch: intensive Farben nebeneinander, Abstufungen durch Doppelbemalungen oder pastellige Felder....alles ist möglich. Zur Entspannung ist das sehr beglückend für den Maler wie für den anschließendem Empfänger eine Freude. Der Kartenkarton ist für vielerlei trockene und feuchte Stifte geignet, das Adressfeld übersichtlich und auch noch hübsch dekoriert. Wunderbare Herbst- und Winterbeschäftigung....!!!!

冊子体の「秘密の花園」もよかったのですが水彩（透明水彩+水彩色鉛筆）で塗りたかったのでこちらも買ってみました。予想以上に厚手の紙で、水彩のぼかし、にじみもOKで大満足でした。（大人のナントカのシリーズよりずっと良質の紙です！）ポストカードサイズなので机の上で場所を取らないのも嬉しい。ただし、日本のハガキよりちょっと大きいので、ポストカードとして使うなら封書料金でないと送れないかも。

Beautiful images. Some are super tiny details and others quite basic in comparison. Nice card that limits bleeding of colours. Works ok with watercolour markers.Overall I’m impressed with delivery and quality. Just wish some of the images didn’t require a magnifying glass to complete the detail

It's the size of a small notebook. The pages are around 300gsm and are really good for any medium of colors. I used color pencils, pens and water colors and the paper endured them all with perfect grace! Also you can tear out individual pages as it is glued at the spine of the book and not sewn. The book does not become flimsy and nor do the other pages come loose upon tearing out pages from in between the book.A perfect companion on long flights or silent meditative evenings!I prefer these postcard format over books as it is hardbound, there is absolutely no bleeding of colors on to the back of the page, it is easy to carry around without bending the book and the pages can be easily ripped put to frame it up or to simply post to your loved ones! i'mgonnagetmemoreofthese!!!

Me ha encantado! Es un mini libro de 12.1x16.5cm con 20 ilustraciones en formato postal de las ilustraciones del libro original de Johanna Basford el cual se hizo y sigue siendo tan famoso por sus bellas ilustraciones. Yo tengo el libro original pero quería tener también este porque además de que me encantan las ilustraciones, encuentro ventajas en este tipo de formato.La encuadernación es pegada y se pueden extraer las hojas sin ningún problema, por lo que las puedes utilizar para enviar postales, o para enmarcarlas, o como quieras... Que aunque lo anuncien como libro de postales, yo lo he comprado para colorearlo simplemente. Otra gran ventaja es que la calidad del papel es mucho mejor, es de muy buena calidad (cartulina gruesa).Las ilustraciones están a una sola cara, y aunque sea un tamaño de libro pequeño encuentro que la mayoría de las imágenes tienen un buen tamaño para colorearlas sin problema ya que las ilustraciones de más detalle en lugar de simplemente poner la imagen original reducida lo que han hecho es poner la imagen ampliada.Por todo lo mencionado se puede colorear con cualquier medio sin preocuparte de estropear el siguiente dibujo. ¡es ideal!Yo personalmente hay veces que me apetece colorear algo que no sea grande y que quede terminado el mismo día y hacerlo relajadamente sin preocuparme de manchar otro dibujo ni nada por eso me ha gustado mucho esta opción.Lo recomiendo tanto si lo quieres usar para enviar postales coloreadas por ti o si lo quieres tener como libro de colorear, y es apto para todo tipo de público
